True Damage

Abilities all deal physical damage

Abilities all scale with weapon damage

All his cooldowns are either short, or VERY short, except his ult, which should be like 200 seconds for how stupidly powerful it is.

Attacks also reduce his cooldowns

Being in a fight massively heals this hero

He has a leap stun

His ult let's him become ethereal and can only take 50 damage from any attack that deals more than that for two seconds and whoever hits him gets knocked into the air and marked and MASSIVELY damaged. This is his longest cooldown, but it's pretty short as long as he's auto attacking, one of the most commonly done things in the game.

He can buy parallax to make the above even more effective, and still deal massively sufficient damage/not really lose out on anything buy buying it. So he becomes un stunnable and only takes 50 damage at a time, and the cooldown on this is reduced as he's attacking so the CD reduction scales with weapon speed (gets better late game).

He deals massive damage

His Q let's him teleport himself and an enemy, deals massive damage, and applies on hit effects like pyre, cauterizer, contamination shard, force of entropy, etc, AND DOES NOT PROC enemy item's like Retribution's Edge and Dark Steel Titan. So he gets to mimic an auto attack with it but without any of the potential consequences. It simultaneously counts as an ability so he can then apply black hole magnum and items like that immediately after (which is normal, but unbalanced in this specific case).

On top of all this he deals AOE true damage that scales directly with his weapon damage. Compare this to a hero like grunty who's true damage is hard limited by his level.

Cleave deals 95% weapon damage to multiple enemies with 20% of that damage ignoring armor, so he can effectively deal 20% of his weapon damage as true damage to five enemies simultaneously, and effectively deal more than 100% of his weapon damage (by A LOT) to 5 enemies simultaneously as a result.

His auto attacks apply marks and so do his abilities that should require to consume them. Q "applies on hit effects" and therefore it should mark the enemy as it consumes the mark, to top it off.

Getting nerfed in next patch, check Beta changelogs

Alarak:

Q - Now targets a point and lifts the first enemy hero he encounters.

- Slowed Dash speed a bit

- Range 3.5u/ 4u/ 4.5u/ 5u -> 5u/ 5.5u/ 6u/ 6.5u

E - Heal from Heroes: 30/ 45/ 60/ 75 (+45% Weapon Damage) -> 26/ 38/ 50/ 62 (+40% Weapon Damage)

R - Now only marks the attacker with Warrior's Edge.

This only really addresses the ult. You're actually buffing his Q, which seems 100% arbitrary. At least the heal seems more reasonable/more counterable with a cauterizer than before.

Also, who gets to play on the beta? Why not make it publically available or is it already? A beta should be played by the maximum number of people possible not just your clique of friends.

It is dumb that his heroic passive's mark is consumed by his abilities, but also applied by them. He should have to auto attack an enemy to mark them for the extra damage, not Q them or R them and get the extra damage from his mark with that alone. Using his abilities reduces the cooldowns of his flobing abilities since they both apply and consume marks. That doesn't even make sense, just take away the mark mechanic and make that %HP damage work with everything he does automatically, since it basically already does. There's no mechanic to it whatsoever other than in name, since the things that consume it also apply it anyway.

Compare this mechanic to Darpa, who's widely regarded as an underwhelming AD carry right now, who has to auto attack you three times to get the full effect of his marks (for only 1 ability which then consumes them all, and then you need 3 more AA to use the second ability to its maximum potential), and all of his marks are instantly removed when he uses an ability.

In Darpa's case, giving his Q the ability to add a mark might be what would put him on the same level as the other carries, but in vindicator's case it's just absurd. Vindicator is immortal during his leap, and effectively immortal after it if he saves his R. Darpa gets raped in his leap easily and it IS his R, not his damn Q. It's almost incompetent that this hero was put into the stable map as he is.

It's also absurd that his auto attacks reduce his cooldowns. Especially when he has a true damage AOE on a 5 second CD that he can use to easily farm while he zone's the enemy team out of their lane and double kills them in a tower dive. Are his abilities really so weak that they need shorter cooldowns than already given? The pragmatic answer is no they are not, they are absurdly strong abilities with cooldowns that arguably should be longer than they are. Not shortened by fighting so that he can get luda.

And how do I access the beta map?

The hero can do too many things, he can be tanky, burst, dps, and is one of the few heroes that can actually gain health during a team fight than actually lose any.

IMO, I think he needs to become far more item dependent if you are going to keep him this strong.

The buff to Q's range will actually makes things worse because at the highest level of play (where this game should be balanced), it makes little difference if Q is target point or target unit. He just got a range buff.

I don't think tweaking the numbers will change much of anything, some of the basic ideas behind the hero need to be revised.

It will make a difference in that he will be better if he has a set-up stun now, plus it can miss. It may not seem like a lot but when it happened to brine he went from first pick to never seen until he got a range buff. The heroic passive scales waaaaaaay to much though. LIKE ITS A HEROIC PASSIVE THAT SCALES OFF MAX HP. WHYYYYYYYYY?

Search for "Aos test ver". That will bring up all the test versions, with SCV's and Adam's being the ones that may be updated.

Edit: My bad, its "aos beta test ver", I guess scv is to lazy to update his other ones. He has 3 now.

Those are not me OMG. I don't even know how many SCVs are there.
