Item Rework (Part 2): Sliptide Scythe

Sliptide Scythe has recently been reworked a few times for the purpose of turning it into a INT hybrid item. However, as far as I can see, you still don't see this item on anything but AA Carries. Therefore, I suggest one or more of the following changes to be implemented:

1. Agility stats turned into INT

Reasoning: Such a change would obviously heavily support caster hybrid builds. However, now that Agility provides Weapon Damage, perhaps such a change is not required.

2. Add Spell Armor Penetration (take another unique out in compensation I suppose)

Reasoning: DPS have 2 Armor Penetration items, yet Casters only have Gravity Edge. Yes, there is Kura's Deathmask, but it's still not the same thing!

no one will buy AA item on int heros unless they're against pub

if sliptide's int states increase

AA heros : will not buy it. Because there is always better item for increasing your dps with same money

casters : will not buy it. Because then you will have so low state of int. There already is no spot for additional item for int heros

(argus, yamato, gravity, Mask, Pick 2(Warpshard, Seed, Asura, Nitro, Cerebro))

Maybe they will buy it instead of cerebro, but i dont see that worth.

Your build is focused on Burst Damage though. For example, if you were to get this item on Jakk, you could do something like:

Argus Crystal

Gravity Edge

Yamato Reactor

Sliptide Scythe

C48 Gauss Cannon/Isomorphic Pyre

Nitrogen Retrofit

I only consider Argus and Gravity to be the only MUST HAVE on a hybrid build. The whole point of this thread is to point out the fact that Sliptide Scythe's rework is not fulfilling the purpose it was intended for.

Omg this discussion again

You will get picked off if you dont build warpshard on heros with low mobility

And i still don't get why aren't you just building pure dps.

Burst damage and Damage per second can never be decent at the same time.

Damage per second is (total damage out)/(time taken)

Each time you hit, your burst damage will be considered less damage.

Like, suppose you built argus and gained 300 additional burst damage total combo.

If you have maxxed your weapon speed(0.4 or something) then you will hit 25 times during cooldown.

Then your burst damage becomes 300/25=12 additional damage per second.

You couldve bought an Item that increases your weapon damage.

C48 Gauss Cannon gives mobility, so screw your Warp Shard argument.

Also, your argument is completely off topic. Why? It's about viability of hybrid builds. Let me say it again, this time in bold.

Whale reworked Sliptide Scythe for the purpose of making hybrid builds more viable. It is not doing that. Hence, I am suggesting changes that might do so. I never said anything about the viability of Hybrid builds in the current meta on this thread.
