Changelog v1.237

 

Game Sys

- Unified all Experience and Bounty Functions

- All heroes now gain an additional 10 Hp Per Level

- Veteran Talent now grants +12% Exp Gain instead of 350 Exp at start of game

- Fortify Talent Active 30% Damage Resist for 6 seconds -> 70% Damage Resist for 3 seconds.

- Scaling Exp Increase over time Doubles Every 100 Minutes -> Doubles Every 60 Minutes

- Scaling Bounty Increase over time Doubles Every 60 Minutes -> Unchanged

- Aeon Bounty and Exp now scale over time. Base: 200 Mineral and 200 Exp. This boss is meant to provide your team with lasting mineral and experience advantage.

- Levi has been replaced by a scaling boss (Fire Worm -> Nydus Destroyer -> Yagdra). This boss is meant to provide your team with a temporary buff.

- Fixed being able to impact dial through Cow Wall

- Added Time Travelers Cloak

- Phantom Menace Unique reset range 8u -> 6u

- Retribution's Edge Price 4800 -> 4400

 

Fire Worm Bounty:

Killer - gains +10% Damage and +8 Hp and En Regen for 4 minutes.

Killer + Killer's Team - 100 Minerals

 

Fire Worm spawns at 6 minutes, and respawns after 6 minutes.

Nydus Destroyer Bounty:

Killer + Killer's Team - 100 Minerals, gains +10% Damage and +8 Hp and En Regen for 4 minutes.

 

Nydus Destroyer spawns at 20 minutes, and respawns after 8 minutes.

Yagdra Bounty:

Killer + Killer's Team - 100 Minerals, gains +15% Damage and +20 Hp and En Regen for 4 minutes.

 

Yagdra spawns at 40 minutes, and respawns after 10 minutes.

Boss does not upgrade if it is currently in combat. All three bosses grant same exp as Aeon (200 Exp, scaling)

- Force of Entropy Slow no longer reduces Attack Spd. Now slows by 30% -> 35% movement speed if attacker is melee, or 30% -> 25% movement speed if attacker is ranged.

- Star's Fury Damage 125% Int -> 100 + 75% Int, capped at 400. No longer leeches energy on this damage dealt. Agi 30 -> 40, Int 20 -> 30, WpnDmg 20 -> 25

- Psionic Lasher Agi 27 -> 35

 

 

Kura

- Q Cd 6.00/5.25/4.50/3.75s -> 5.33/4.67/4.00/3.33s

- Fixed W dealing full damage vs non-heroic

- R Scaling 80% -> 70%

 

Anthrax

- Q Dmg 60/95/130/165 -> 60/100/140/180

- W Slow 10/13/16/19% -> 11/14/17/20%

 

Nova

- Base Weapon Speed 1.75 -> 1.8

- Base Weapon Damage 26 -> 21

- Q Reworked/Improved back-end functionality/anti lag work. Generally attempting to make nova more dependent on getting an item advantage over other carries using her Q in order to be able to out carry (but falling off a bit late game as other carries fill up their items)

 

Warfield

- Base Wpn Dmg 24 -> 19

- Heroic Passive +5 Wpn Dmg +3% CDR -> +6 Wpn Dmg +3% CDR. Attempting to make Warfield even more dependent on his heroic passive for damage early game.

 

Darpa

- Vendetta's Weapon Damage reduction is no longer tied with the Vendetta stack (ie: consuming all 3 vendetta stacks will not remove the -15% Wpn Dmg debuff)

 

Savage

- R No longer Crits, now counts as Weapon Damage -> AoE Physical. Scaling 70% Wpn Dmg -> 80% Wpn Dmg

 

Brine

- W Cast time .45s -> .25s

- E Impale is now a skill shot. Range 4 -> 6u

 

Jackson

- R Cast Time .5s -> .65s

 

Balrog

- W Dmg 50/100/150/200 + 100% Int -> 50/80/110/140 + 80% Int

and why are we removing more and more uniques from this game like stars fury

sure it was abit OP but maybe instead tone it down instead of removing

 

remember how much fun masamune & old hand of mengsk etc used to be

shap even valors maifest and olympic torch where fun

 

we are losing alot of those fun items and its just turning into LoL

theres a reason why we play AoS and not LoL

like i could kind of just turn a blind eye before when it was taking a few good ideas from LoL

but its getting ridiculous now its just a straight copy of LoL

 

i vote that you change the map back to just before the item overhaul when we had masamune & play that version for 1 week

then you will remember how much fun this game used to be and start putting it back in the right direction

 

and sure it wasnt balanced but no one cared

there is 200x more flaming ppl about imbalance today then there was a year ago

Whale I dont think first of all you dont understand you are devoloping this game for starcraft 2 players who mostly just want to chill, of course there are people that play starcraft only cuz AoS, but you cant balance the game only for inhouses(10-max 20 players per server). You cant just all of a sudden increse skill cap on almost every hero(mostly making skillshots) and expect them to like it, if they wanted to play srs MOBA they would just play league/dota. Of course im not saying game should have low skill cap and be shap, just saying ur going a bit too far, especially in this patch. Im guessing you want AoS to be placed in top 5 in arcade and not only have 20 people playing it?

Second thing is you are copying way too much from league, which I said few times but you didnt care, so dont be suprised if you see people leaving game, especcialy pubbers, also you need to listen more to comunity, yes you always like to discuss on mumble something, but most of time nothing of that gets inplemented and you just take something from league instead thinking it will make game better.

 

Personally i would just get back few patches, this patch is especially rly bad, I wouldnt expext much succes from it MOST of all brine change.

Seems everything here comes from LoL some way or another..

 

I can't comment on the actual quality of the changes since Whales ascension to developer (as I don't play this game regularly) but as I said before the game requires Wrath's calming influence. Nerfing everything and making large changes without consulting the wider community are textbook errors which came to signify both Redhydra/Highdraters unsuccessful stints in charge.

I would like to set them upload the old map prior to August 2012. Just before Massamune was released. It would be nice to see the devs reupload that map and see if its lags as much as the map now. At the moment the game is unplayable on NA for EU players.

Shame cool features have been removed, such as specs being able to see heroes HP/Mana in a side screen. Old videos like these helped make Sotis great, look at that view counter. In the past few years the development simply have not put in the effort to keep the game alive. People like that commentator are no longer in the community, people who fostered a lot of good will but raised important awkward points where rudely pushed out and now in 2015 we have initiative to promote AoS. In the past year alone AoS has slipped from #2 to #10 in the Arcade, come 2016 with LotV it would be a shame if the game was off the first page and into oblivion. If that is the aim then woe betide you - at least IH will be still be alive then?

again your invited to say what specifically you think is copied from LoL.

 

Evolving boss that gives temporary buff/Double objective bosses take-able at all times? Not from LoL - its from RoA. And if your going to say "Well dragon gives a stacking buff", know the RoA Bosses did almost exactly what the new AoS bosses do, and did so a year before those Season 5 dragon changes. Therefore at best you could make the argument that LoL is copying RoA, which I would disagree with because I don't even think the mechanics are similar, or that they would even be aware of RoA.

 

Brine pull? The closes LoL equivalent is Skarner ult, which happens to be target unit, not skill shot. If anything, this is literally the opposite of taking from LoL.

 

The only argument could be made in this patch is the addition of Time Traveler's Cloak, which personally, I see as a similar mechanic to both Guardian Angel from LoL, and Aegis/BuyBack from Dota - a revival item for the carry.

 

Honestly, the more you hinge your argument on "becoming a LoL clone", the more apparent it is that you, in fact, have no concept of LoL other than "that thingy over there that is also a moba".

Well np dont take it from me im just one of many that dont like recent changes.

Np u can just continue aos on eu is ranked 10-11 atm just to let u know, but hey ih is still going!

Read anarchys and others posts, and if u even read my post u would get what im talking about, all u read is that I said u copy from league.

Copying from league doesent mean changes are bad, but few recent patches arent good

 

 

And lol is that last sentence supposed to offend me or something, for me its rly funny :)

I was mostly refering to abilities, items, bushes

The boss is almost a direct port from RoA.

 

Most of the balance changes are justified from an In Houser point of view. I don't understand the complain in this thread.

 

If pubers are actually leaving as stated, AoS shouldn't be number 5 still on the arcade rankings.

 

Maybe you should report this issue to blizzard if you think the hour played function is broken and AoS shouldn't be on top 10 list.

Lifetech used to do what Traveler's Cloak does. But people would die and lose their passives so it was changed to just a heal.

 

I wasn't aware that LoL had a boss that scaled like the "new levi" does. Also, I'm not sure what's not to like about this change. There are now two bosses to enjoy the entire game rather than just Aeon early and Levi late.

 

I disagree with the removal of the Energy Leech on Stars Fury, a cap would be better.

 

Also as far as Whale's development is concerned, one way to improve is to loosen up on the "I don't like this mechanic, its dumb, removed!" mentality. Sometimes as a developer you have to do things that you don't like because your users like it.

 

I've seen mention of "wanting to please the public" but what I don't see is the proper outlet to see what does please the public. One problem I do have is that when something new is implemented and people don't like or understand it, they proceed with something like "This is stupid and OP." Reasons for them disliking it and things they actually want are lacking in responses.

LoL poor Rog have been nerfed and nerfed. Honestly more & more ppl will leave this game cuz of such patches.

besides small damage nerf in his W all other changes made him stronger :P so actually this path isn't Rog nerf
