He is the ultimate ganker, with surprise burst from ult-q to change the outcome of skirmishes, but he also has a great attack animation, and doesn't feel the first 4 shots, which means that dps anthrax kills dps nova in a 1v1... you also want cc to get a double q hit off....... so how should he be built? taznkid Posted January 18, 2015 Report Share Posted January 18, 2015 I feel like building him alot like Cyprus would work, since, if I remember correctly, his heroic passive does the most damage with abilities. I saw a guy do a INT burst with Anthrax, using Sunflare, Cerebros, Star's Fury (and typical core INT items); he would ult in, Flare, Q, Auto-Attack, and by then most things would be dead because of that increased damage taken debuff from the ult. But dps do not share builds with int bursters, and special int dps like dps raynor or dps jakk do not share builds with agi dps. Furthermore, Atom Smasher, and Timesplitter allow double Q damage on int anthrax. Anthrax is actually the hero with the most viable builds, since you can focus on CC to make his W actually root, and for double Q, you can just stack int to oneshot with a quick combo, or you can utilize his heroic passive and E to be a DPS like Tychus (survive for a longer period of time than squishy agi caries and as a result live to do more damage, despite lack of major dps steroid). Omniscience, SS, Ihan, basically just trying to root and Q people to aid in team fights. Trying to build him all int, is extremely hard to live while ulting anyone who isnt already running. I like to grab kuras (make every one take bonus dmg on top of your ult making people take bonus dmg) and nitrogen (dat health and dat slow when you hit your ult) and then after that build tank support. you jump in and then anyone hit dies so fast. you end up acting as a primary or secondary imitator.
