This item is really OP. 30% extra damage for any damage on a cheap (2600?) item. My friend Doug was oneshotting people the entire game with Vergil R+ a Q or two, even when the enemy team bought a buffer and rory had a silver soul and their nova had a contam, along with them having a couple hp items. Lethal barb active with Argus unique, yamato active, and spell damage talent increases spell damage by 83%, and I'm not sure but I think it might be multiplicative, which makes it even higher. Combined with grav edge it just makes a burst caster do too much damage, even lategame where they should fall off. Not to mention how well this item works with boros and shadow. I was 0-3 as shadow with lethal barb, durans machette, and parts of an arcbound (one of the atk speed and crit parts, and the culling saber i believe) and I 1v1'd a 7-1 balrog with atom smasher, an emerald lotus, and a Durans buckler by using ult and lethal. He used q w and r and was attacking me, but I barely survived the burst and ended up killing him in about 2-3 seconds and lifestole all of my hp back. The 30% extra damage is seriously ridiculous. It wouldn't be so bad, but its spell and physical, so burst casters can rush a crit-aa item for 2600 (?) minerals and get a 30% increase on all of their damage. The powerspike is comparable with argus powerspike, which costs almost double the amount.

 

Please make it only affect physical damage and lower the percentage it increases damage by.

Taser, stats arent good, kind of expensive for a drawback like this and it should be reduce to around 2000 and 20% power and damage taken

Stats are really good for carries, since crit is so good. For int heroes the stats suck, this is true.

The item is fine on everything that doesn't have very strong defensive abilities. Personally, I always rush it on Boros. No one wants to attack justicar, so he should get it and pop with ult. High mobility heroes played by confident players can make the item work too. However, you cannot arbitrarily use it and a-move the other team. It's situational, and as such, not as good as other items.

Lethal Barb unique fits many different heroes which want to boost up his damage output, however its stats are designed for carries. Item stats should also fit many heroes. My suggestion is to make it to build from Stabilizer and provide similar stats.

 

Item definitely isn't OP. Maybe in 1v1 situations it appears to be OP, however in regular 5v5 teamfights its very risky to abuse it well.

It's not good on people with defensive abilities, its good on people with high burst generally. There are some exceptions like shadow, he's more of a dps, but his ult works really well with lethal so its really good. Getting lethal barb on justicar is just a waste of money, since he is easily kited and you would just die before you got into range for your damage.

 

There is better use of money than buying Lethal Barb.

I disagree. It's extremely cheap for a huge damage boost for any damage, and on an extremely low cooldown too. Edited by Moo

It doesn't add any more risk than there already is in teamfights for boros or any of the int bursters I named above, since boros is immune during his ult and the int casters stay back, or Vergil ult gives immunity and he has his E to escape. The only exception is cyprus, but he normally dies after completing his combo normally anyways. The item is definately OP. Doug and I have been testing it extensively, and pretty much every of our pubs games there was at least a couple decent players on the other team. It increases your damage a LOT for its price, and its not as risky as it seems for someone like shadow, because his lifesteal in ult increases because he is dealing more damage, and they won't be alive long to damage anyways.
