taznkid
Jakk used to be very strong in the game, known either as a burst initiator or Spell DPS. Then Lockbox range was reduced drastically, making the "initiator" bit less viable, causing a focus on Spell DPS. Then Shadowmourne was reworked, and Jakk lost his ability to proc his grenade tosses twice, but still remained strong. And THEN Gravity Edge lost a significant amount of Intelligence to make way for Argus Crystal, and Isomorphic Pyre was changed to deal Physical Damage (which in my opinion, is what killed Spell DPS option). Now he is still a decent hero, but his skills no longer coincide with a unique role. When Lockbox had a longer range, Jakk more or less had a 100% Minefield accuracy, which combined with Star's Fury, gave him massive burst potential. With Shadowmourne-Yamato Reactor-Gravity Edge-Nitrogen Retrofit-Isomorphic Pyre-Cerebros, Jakk was very unique in terms of a Auto-Attack carry, in that he focused on dishing out Spell, rather than Physical Damage. Currently, Jakk is forced to either choose Physical Damage DPS and lose out on the Intelligence Scaling of his abilities, or lose DPS abilities in exchange for building Intelligence. I guess the above build I laid out is still viable (changing out Shadowmourne for Argus Crystal, and maybe Isomorphic Pyre for Arcbound), but it is not nearly as strong as before. I suggest either a rework of Jakk's abilities to give him a more clear and stronger role in the game, or change his attribute to Agility. WhaleTits
The Hero provides insanely easy laning phase, is second to rancor in map control, and good counter push. So he's not a lategame aa carry.

TaxHaven
I quote from the GLJoe vs AMG game, "god my weapon speed is so goddamn slow". Was on par with nova at the time Edited November 4, 2014 by TaxHaven
EterNity
There's something wrong with you if you lose your lane as Jakk. It actually takes more skill to lose it.
taznkid
Why the heck is everyone talking about lanes with Jakk...I didn't mention a single thing about it...it's still strong (although, btw, you can still lose it against, say, Garamond). I'm just saying that he no longer fills a "unique" niche in teamfights/hero vs hero situations (or at least definitely not as well as before). Noobz
Kinda sounds like you want him to be good at everything at once...
Grantypoo
I dont mind where Jakk is at right now. It used to be he was in every single game, normally on both teams. Now he is at a point where he isnt picked constantly, so you have more variety in the game. I've still found that going LightningRod, GravEdge, Argus, Yamato, Nitrogen, (I sometimes get FoE as third item just depending) and then adding in a situational item does very well for me. It isnt the complete over the top take on 3 people at once that Jakk used to be, but I do very well. I actually experimented for a while with getting the high agi item with the timescale reduction and death time reduction (cant for the life of me remember the name) and timesplitter, and didnt get nitrogen. Basically 3 int and 3 agi/weapon damage items and can do very well. Can play a semi carry although it doesnt compare to Nova or Avenger or Darpa for mobility or DPS, but can also throw mines that help control where the enemy can and cant go, plus set up ambushes at towers that even into late game can take most carries from 100% hps to 0%. Anyway, I hear what you're saying. Jakk isnt as good as he used to be. He is still pretty good, and still fun to play. And I like free ward W, although with the item that lets you place a ward every few minutes that isnt quite as great of a skill now.
