Jackson AA animation and Q revision.

So Jackson is someone thats great in IH, but in pubs, he's extremely boring.

 

First lets address his aa animation, it's extremely hard to last hit, due to the animation and the fact that he's always denied as well.

 

Secondly, his Q is pretty weak. comboed with E it does do a fair amount of damage to a single target and I say single because it's rare for the q to explode due to killing a creep or enemy running away.

 

Changes to this would not change the hero overall in terms of IH due to the fact that they are not AOE effects that are the main contention point. Anyways, his farm ability will make his other skills stronger with items so the scaling could be reduced to compensate.

Ok, first of all, you did not state what changes you wish to occur. I can infer that you want his aa animation to be better, but I can't read your mind for the other changes. Second, I think jackson is really fun in pubs. I play him all the time, just build a bunch of damage and oneshot people with laser, it is really satisfying.

I actually do still find Jackson fun and viable in pubs. SHM and nitrogen retrofit coupled with your level 4 W and watch people try to run away and laugh. He's very strong in lane against melee (I guess who isnt...) but he can also be a decent ganker. I guess I don't really see a reason for him and Egon to have such bad attack animations...

I personally have no trouble csing in pubs with any hero, unless I'm facing someone who actually denies, which is extremely rare. Once you get used to the delay on the animation it is fairly simple, unless someone is denying you as I said, which normally only happens in inhouses, and in inhouses Jackson and egon will normally be in lane with a carry letting them get all the last hits.

A slow attack animation in a way is like pretending that you do much higher attack damage and an instant attack (because by the time it lands, the creeps will have done some more damage to target). Therefore, in some ways it is almost an advantage, unless someone is denying you with a faster attack animation (no one botheres any more).

Yeah, you have to hit a half step faster than a normal aa. It's like learning to last hit at towers once you get the timing it's not that difficult. Plus jackson's skills and supporting are the most important things about him, he shouldn't be last hitting at all just soaking exp and helping his carry farm.

Yes I didn't say he wasn't viable, but in most pubs you have 5-4 or 3-5 or something like that that usually goes on, and the game is over before jackson ever gets the items you are talking about. They aren't exactly cheap starting items and he isn't exactly the best farming hero.

Yes I'd love to see his animation sped up to make it easier to last hit instead of being denied in lane. As for his Q, I never once said anything about increasing damage but allowing his Q to explode on killing something or the duration of 4 seconds are both things that will marginally change the way the character plays.

 

I see the resident troll couldn't refrain from posting about how he's still butt hurt.

NO no no - you wrong, my friend.

 

All of those heroes except Egon have bad attack animations.

No need to buff Egon in any way. Just create single player map with Egon…. or tutorial.

ANd buff others.

I can still last hit fine with egon.... Only reason I say he has a bad animation is that it takes a long time to deal the damage compared to others.

There is a trick about how to lasthit with gara, aa on a creep to denie, aa on your scv to keep 3-4 out

Select them and use them to lasthit a creep with 120% weapondmg instead of 60

 

 

 

There is no real bad animation, some just need to be used earlier but there is no problem with that ( compare it to oter mobas, atleast you don't "cast" your aa and it doesn't take 1 second untill the projectile starts moving) but thats all just a thing of what you are used to
