Two Duran's Machetes: Question

How come on certain builds(like for Grunty) players start out with two Duran's Machetes?

Besides the obvious stack that you get for health, agility, and weapon speed... Does the unique "your attacks heal yourself for 12 points" stack as well totaling for 24 health?

Nope unique doesn't stack. People might get them on certain carries just for the stats and health. 2 durans is good in lane if the lane is tough or it can be good in jungle since more health equals more sustain. Personal preference I guess since I only use it for darpa.

Its not to bad ( 200hp + 36agi+ weapondspeed dono how much) for 1500 minerals but... Well its rather a boring thing to do since there are no uniques to (ab)use or actives to use ( like stunknife huehue). You get more tanky compared to other dps builds but if this is worth the delay to getting things like stunknife, rod ocelot flare cloak or pulsehammer? Idk depends on your playstyle

The money from the second machete is much better spent elsewhere. People just like the cheap stats.

Buy some consumables and building blocks for stronger items instead. If the extra HP/agi is making that big of a difference in your game, then maybe it's time to revisit how your talents are allocated and how you spend the first ten minutes of the game.

Maybe you can stomp some bads with two machetes, but a more skilled player will see you as being behind for no good reason and proceed to destroy you in the mid-late game.

Only pro grunty players get 2 machetes like ElfenBlack. He often goes 21-1 in inhouse
