Talents: 2/4/0 or 2/1/3

 

Early: goggles plus buckler

 

focusing on good pushing power and slow plus dps in order to escape if u are counter ganked

2-4-0 and 2-1-3 are vastly inferior to 0-3-3 or 1-2-3. fury is relatively useless on mk, coat pyre and and his passive give you all the weapon speed you need. And there isnt a hero that you dont get swiftness on, 2-4-0 shouldnt even exist.

it is my style of play, swiftness slightly overrated imo, yes movement speed is a very big issues in aos, however not that important in certain circumstances. If it would be we would see lockbox more often, and menace/shinobi far earlier on many heroes

2/4/0 is e build that does focus on being able to 1o1, which allows u to be a far bigger threat.

in my build u go for pyre relatively late, and 15% weapon speed is very much early to mid game. (alone if u compare costs to get the buff with an item).

Atom smasher is mk only chance to escape if he cant 1o1, because he has no escape mechanism.

if u are stuck in a 1o1 u cant escape, if u have swiftness or not. i still know its usually mandatory ... But this is a pub, split pushing focused build as i wrote, if the enemy has to send 2 heroes its far easier for your team than if they can use only one.

 

And 0/3/3 is a very bad item choice imo, 0-2-4 is far bettee in nearly any case I can imagine, even as tank. 1/2/3 would be standard for the usual support style that was already posted.

Before the fortify nerf lots of people were going 2-4-0 on aa heroes. Most dps have some sort of skill suitable for chasing so the lack of ms was fine

See, theres your problem... playing mk in a pub. The hero exists only to end the game as fast as possible, you might as well be playing solitaire.

wow ... Did u even read the op? ... He was searching for a pub build.

I know what mks role is. Still, my splitpush build is doing at least as good as standard support build. 15% is needed with this build because it makes A huge difference early, what u already mentioned is where mk shines.

My build focuses on splitpushin, and teamitems dont really help there, also it's far easier to defend a tower for your team 4 vs 5 than it is for their team if they have to 3 vs 4.

I would argue that there is no tank that needs fury, and to sacrifice movement speed on a hero with 0 escape talents is just plain wrong. Might is fine if you need some help last hitting, but wealth is almost as essential on mk to start building coa as fast as possible. I would say pyre would be fourth or fifth item, but its also situation. MK is an aura whore, its not the hero doing the damage, its everything around him. If you focus your resources on getting items that solely benefit the hero itself an not his minions, you are definitely leaving a lot on the table.

Well, mk is both, great aura support and excellent split pusher, that's why he's autobanned ...

I think the author wanted a decent pub build and auras don't help u in pubs alle that much.

however I would take 2/4/0 over 1/4/1 IN PUBS ...

just sayin ...

idk how good fortify is right now but I would either use 1/2/3 or 2/1/3 IH.

Because tax had already posted a standard build I only mentioned a more special build I like to use.

Q with smasher is great to 1o1 or slow one enemy, forcing your enemies to send at least 2 heroes, that what u want to accomplish with this build... Doesn't really matter anyway as he's autobanned anyway right now
