LATERALUS
So I've come up with a few core items as Terminus. The only problem I have is he's squishy, so I wanted your thoughts on this build. Talents: Might, Fury, Fitness, Armor, Spell Resist, Fortify Core Item Build - Cerebro, Isomorphic Pyre, Yamato Reactor, Explosive Retrofit, Eternity, Situational He has a few weaknessess such as mobility when burrowed and his Stun takes TO LONG to pop off. It takes Terminus a whole second to poop off his Q which is a Eternity in a battle. I'm thinking since the talents have Spell Resist, Armor, and Fortify maybe Korhal as a Situational item to get more Armor and Spell Resist out of the last item rather than just one item which will only give you Spell Resist or Armor. Then again it all depends on the situation. I am just a beginner with Terminus so maybe it's just my playstyle and takes some getting used to. Also, I've only been playing this build in Pubs, so maybe it has something to do with my Team or playstyle and/or both. I'm guessing it's both since I am just a beginner with this Hero. ANYwayz, I like Sliptide for the Spell Resist and Spell Resist Stacks it gives you, and also the movement speed when ur Ultimate is going off. I'm also thinking maybe the talents should be different, and maybe I should go with a Haste talent build instead? Any thoughts on this build would really be appreciated. Thanks. heimdallr
I´m not very familiar with the many variants of auto attack terminus....but remember there is also the int based terminus.... mainly ihan(sell when you don´t need the active for sustain and you keep the charges), nitro slow the whole screen with your ulti, helping chase and run and support), Gravity(move speed + true damage) Basically a powerfull ulti that can be kept for long becomes your new attack....you will never be attacking burrowed after this...the other items depend on what you want or the team needs....you can become tankier, you can get eternity for aoe mass leech during teamfights, yamato + W for uber timescaling boost (combined with running forward + ulti itll spam a gizillion spikes and damage... the posibilities are many for the items except the first 3(though you sell one) that are core on this kind of build as in most caster intel builds) The only char that really gives problems to this one are strenght based chars with at least 2 spell resist items(or 1 if its drake)...even with gravity its sooo hard to actually finish them and the chase takes like forever...as for both intel and even aa carries this build is a moving team r#ping nuke rain... in team battles just wait for the engaging to actually happen(after the pokings and lurings take place.....when the enemies are actually throwing their aa´s to one another and all are clustered and retreating would cost them free hits on your partners side. Then you go yamato(if you have), W and R and move to the middle of their team....if they try anything funny or to run you do Q to stun their retreat as you reposition yourself...whenever W os ready use it....booom.....all dead...for tanky spell resisters just ask your team to finish em pros: aoe murder chaser and easy to retreat unless chainstunned, lots of damage, multiple targets, good pushing abilities for lanes, can be tanky if geared for it cons: its a carry like thing, meaning all the pros mentioned earlier come endgame and early game farming can be a pain if you go straight to the items so some prefer to invest a bit into farming gear to easy lane and to creep and then transition to the intel build

ginosaji
INT is the best way to build him in my opinion... His burrow mechanic makes him a terrible AA other than for the trololols. I go 2-1-3 or 2-2-2 Machete to start. Lightning rod or lethal barb are very effective farming tools on lurker, so I usually get one of those next. End game core items: Yamato Reactor, Gravity Edge, Nitrogen Retrofit. The goal of the build is to kite them using your Ult combined with the slow from nitrogen retrofit and the timescale from his passive. Other items are situational. Just go Crit AA (only hero I like lethal barb on) + Explosive = GG.

Just go Crit AA (only hero I like lethal barb on) + Explosive = GG. of course mana cost on ult is high if you go the auto attack route....once you have 3 intel items the maná is not prohibitive and you will rarelly need to go to base.....ihans active helps there too (remember that it scales with stacks). Your ulti becomes you auto attack basically and you dont stop to push lanes but you just run through them and they die lol....still I have seen the auto attack build work sometimes vs not so competent teams and it is kinda fun too when it does work

ginosaji
Since Lurker has come out, I have literally never seen an AA build work on him in a competitive. Come to think of it, I haven't seen him picked IH for months.

herman
As Gino stated... the only real viable way to play Lurker in the current state of the game is with INT and not only just INT but Nitrogen Retrofit is a a must. Because of the area in which his Ultimate gets laid out on ... Nitro slows in a big area... as I see it Lurker should use his stun and aoe slow with Nitrogen to get his team's Carry easy kills. In pubs possibily AA is effective because people don't carry scanners or taser regularly, but there are far too many stuns, slows, and other disables in this game to play an AA character who has to stay put to AA. heimdallr
Even so mana still drains at an alarming rate. You need to top it off constantly with cerebro let me remind you intel gives mana regen....this is an intel build....and also i top it off not with cerebro but with ihan....also I tend to activate as soon as a enter running with timescale so not only it regens my mana but my life as i get hit immediately also if you have fear of ever having to go back to base you wanna have symphonic seed.....just go in with ulti and theres no way you at least get 5 assists.....you will never mana starve again Edited January 21, 2014 by heimdallr
Zombieee
Theres a reason you havent seen him in competitive inh. Its becouse you cant justify picking him. Ive been trying to get them to rescale his ulti, showed some numbers and so on. But apparently some NA people think he is fine and have alot to off (yet they never pick him in any games that counts for anything). I dont see the problem with fixing scaling on his ulti. I think the correct scaling would be +30% int. And lurker would be fixed. What do you think about him Gino seeing you play on NA?
Skydie
What do you think about him Gino seeing you play on NA? Funny word that...bit optimistic? I kid I kid don't tase me bro!. Zombieee only Red/Dave can (currently) play Lurker in IH. Personally I haven't seen anyone play it in over 8 months in IH - the scaling change is a real mana eater. Yea, I've never seen anyone do well with him to be honest, at least since the right after he was released (when he was OP). I think the hero concept is just doomed to failure. To attack someone you need to burrow, then can't move... It's just too cumbersome to be able to use effectively. He has a hard time laning as a result. His consume is just terrible and seems like a throw away/random add on ability to me. Just totaly unrelated to the rest of his skillset (dunno maybe it's related to the lore or something). His stun is pretty good, but it's got a pretty decent cast time so it's not overly powerful except in conjunction with other stuns. Even if you buff his Ult he would still be essentially a one trick pony... just run around in circles around the enemy with your Ult+Nitrogen. I mean, he has decent counter push, but other than that he just doesn't add much. Definitely UP I think, but the problem lies in hero design, not just numbers.
