New Consumables

I have personally never played DOTA or LOL or any other MOBA games, so if adding some situation consumables might be a fun game mechanic to toy around with.

 

1.) Stim pack - 1x use short term weapon speed increase ( could make it like the campaign and it drain your health by a small amount when you use it)

2.) Shrapnel rounds - 1x use short term aoe damage (essentially explosive retro, but no where near as powerful)

3.) "Haste" - 1x use short term movement speed boost

4.) Gaurdian Shield- 1x use short term aoe damage reduction or shield/armor enhancement

 

 

There are quite a few others I can think of ... but I just wanted to see what everyone else thought about this idea.

 

These would be very short last 10% buffs ... maybe? not sure on the time or how big a buff, but I think it could make for some pretty cool engagements.

 

Thoughts?

i dont like the idea, it would be really hard to balance things like a movement speed bonus ... because it would either have to be very expensive or everyone would just spam it ...

i like the consumeables right now ... i dont think they need a change

 

How can you "spam" something that lasts like 5-10 seconds... besides if they were the same price as say and adrenaline or blinkmoth ... it would be a very situational use. Much like smoke bomb ... if you "spammed" it no one could attack you with scanners and you (theoretically could get a lot of easy kills)

 

My suggestions wasn't to add massive buffs but just small ones that could add some cool team fight interactions

I like the idea. I also like your idea about a trap like grunty's that reduced weapon speed in an aoe for a short period.

I'm glad you saw that.... I don't think anyone else did. I think it would be a cool idea to at least toy around with in a beta. It could really help balance the game a little against push comp's, backdooring, and splits. Would allow to have more variety of character usage without having to be so reliant on anti push.
