micro and drake

i know that this heroes are already tier 1 and banned in nearly every iH game ...

but i dont get why they dont get nerfed ...

current state:

micro: extremly strong initiator/tank with aoe slow/debuff and stun, his e is initiation and also perfect escape as it gives additional resist

his aoe slow is also an aoe debuff (-50% weapon speed)

thrown enemies wont only take additional spell damage and good spell damage, they will also get stunned due to his passive ....

-extremly tanky due to his r and really op with dial (in my opinion the best initiator in the whole game or at least as good as others)

drake: good initiation, aoe spell damage, passiv spell resist but the main reason i think hes really op is his ultimate ... huge aoe stun spell damage and nearly instant regen ... can change any teamfight

and he can lane pretty ok (plus additional good INT scaling, not that important but still) (in my opionion he is extremly tanky while changing any teamfight into his favour)

THATS MY PERSONAL OPINION ... i know they are considered tier 1 but i think those 2 are stronger than other tier 1 heroes ...

i wanna hear/discuss about them ... maybe its just me but i really think they should get changed

Both these heroes are just fine. micro cant 1v1 anyone unless they are glass cannon with no health. drake is the same but if feed enough he can be very strong and tanky. both heroes play role just fine. the reason they get banned first instead of say LZ or justicar or tycus, is because they are better initiates and have a pull type skill. lord z justicar and tycus just have CC, ring, stun/taunt, and slow. those make ok initiation but when you can pluck an enemy out and put them right into the middle of your team its much better. everyone knows that is the hero to attack. making the next fight 4v5.

the reason micro is picked is because of his initiation, so if u have micro u have a really strong tank and extremly strong initation, so ... if u have the choice why would u not pick him? its like 2 main points every composition needs in one hero. justicar isnt weak either but isnt close to be as good in initation compared to micro, and tychus is a stronger tank later but hasnt really much initiation, in addition he needs more farm to be strong ....

so i dont see a reason to pick justi or tychus 95% of all games ...

same for drake ...higher initiation range and really strong in teamfights. if u hit 3 enemies with your ultimate a 5v5 fight is pretty much over ... theyll get stunned for such a long time and take a ton of spell damage with his w. and drake will regenerate in addition, problem is that u can pretty much only poke him but as a tank he can withstand that very long

drake is fine.

i used to think micro was way OP, but more and more I am finding him fine.

Drake: very vulnerable early game. hurts himself to deal any damage. exceptional in the ultra-late game if left unchecked for too long. spell resist makes him feeble.

micro: one of the best throws in the game. silence is a must. rediculously tanky, decent in a melee. if countered via team work, you can basically ignore him. If left unchecked and you are in a solo-pub...yeah he can definitely feel OP...but I don't think he actually is. Not anymore. Nerfs to his blink range helped tremendously.

hurts himself to deal aoe damage and that is only used in teamfights when u land your ulti (or chase down enemies) so thats no issue.

and ... which hero is not vulnerable early game ? i mean ofc u will die if u dont use wards or play risky but u can just play safe :o

how can u ignore him in teamfights? aoe spell damage and -50% weapon speed? ofc he needs to get parallax lol ... and its not like he would be weak without his throw or slow ...

i dont mean hes like super op but if u compare him to other heroes hes a stronger pick ...

i mean there is a reason hes banned every game? and i dont see how a hero who is banned EVERY game is not considered to be op ... even if its not huge ... i still feel hes too strong

It's simply untrue that either are banned every game. Two months ago you would have been right, but the meta has changed. Drake and Micro are fine. They've both been nerfed recently and have ceased to be a absolute priority first pick. In fact, there have been multiple drafts I've been a part of where they have not gotten picked in the first three picks, then banned in second ban phase. Drake got his spell resist and Ult nerfed, I've even seen games where he didn't get picked or banned at all recently. Tosh and Aakasha counter micro really hard and are high value picks, so if you don't ban both and first pick micro, you're micro will have a hard time initiating until parallax team 2 takes one or both with their first two picks.

There are plenty of heroes that are higher picks than either currently:

Tosh

Null

Darpa

Nova

MK

Queen

His W is his only real means of damage, at all, and it hurts him to use it. He is the -only- hero in the game that has to hurt himself to do any form of damage to an enemy, and is one of only two heroes in the game capable of hurting themselves (Drake, LZ) without the use of minions, and I am not even sure that works anymore. And 'just play safe' tranlates to 'tower hug hard' which in turn means 'drake starves and is useless. Furthermore, try 'playign safe' when you have to solo lane against a pair of ranged attackers as drake. Have fun with that.

Drake is by no means under powered, but he CAN be countered and controlled early game which puts him in check for most of the rest of the game. Weak early game, acceptable mid game, powerful late game. Balanced.

The reason most palyeres prefer to see him banned isn't because he's particularly OP or unstoppable, its because he's obnoxious and forces you to play a style you may not want to play if you want to win against him. Paralax can be countered easily with chilling or using multiple snares/silences whatever. Hes damage out is negligible, honestly his slow and his throw are the only things worth worrying about. If you are dying to a micro, you have probably built yourself as a glass cannon and either need soem team support or need to rethink your build.
