It was changed because unix used to be a pubstar cheese hero and not all that viable IH except in some push comps. Making it a stun with far less damage makes him a CC/support/pusher rather than an assassin/push hero. I think the way it is now is better than the way it used to be.

well that he is shap now and that he just made people rage before isn't a proper reason for why we had to get such a stun....

 

Why not just making it a slow for ms and ws+ silence? so people have atleast a tiny chance of getting away, or canceling it via stunknife hit before if you are dps... this way it would be viable for teamfights becaus this one guy needs tobackup but currently.. you have 0 chances to counter it

I agree it's exceptionally strong. I don't know how they would fix it though... maybe not make it a channel but keep the animation the same?

0 ? you to lazy to buy a taser or lockbox.

The channel takes forever to hit a target and the range is so short. Any hero not fungaled can run away if he uses it at max range -1 and fast heroes (shadow leo crackling grunty) can avoid max range -2 in most cases

you expect that unix has no taser himself... and heroes not fungaled? fungal is a pretty wide aoe and pretty long root, if you want to escape from a good unix you need to jump directly on sight ( so only jump heroes or you need to buy warpshard) taser has a range of ,....,11? unsure of the changes but well when he got it, he would simply taser the guy with the taser and aim for the biggest treat ( kittey, shadow, boros, jackson, whatever) and lock it down... now the hero you rely on to either initiate or do the dmg is locked and what you do? he himself can't do shap

 

Just saying that a 5 second non skillshot stun (with a rather small delay once he got yamato) may not have been the way to fix the issure we had with unix

I agree. Why isn't unix used more in inhouses by the way? He seems like a strong pick to me. Strong cc, great solo long, pusher, and he can counter push to some extent with fungal. Is it that he is so squishy and scanners counter him too hard?

sometimes ban.. sometimes no one wants to play.. some stopped playing him when he lost his old role as assasin and some just rage everytime a unix gets picked and locks them down hardcore

Unix is in a very good place right now I feel. He is pretty powerful especially because his marines are invulnerable before they hatch which can trap 'fungaled' targets for a brain sap.

 

If there is one thing I would change it is removing the invulnerability of the marines, change it to either 100% physical or 100% spell resistance but not both.

unix is definitely fine. there are strong counters to him (taser, spell resist, true sight, parallax) but he is still a strong push/support hero.

 

strong counters against strong skills spells balance.

 

spellresist ain't helping vs stun, its not the dmg that bothers. Also paralax doesn't help, only heal but that ain't canceling the stun either

 

once he fungaled you, he is likely to taser you to at the same time as he ulties... thats pretty much a 8 second shutdown for any hero

This is a team game, 5 vs 5, if you got caught off guard alone vs unix, zera or whatever you deserve to die, ward up and get some map awareness.

he won't kill you in most cases anyways, I wasn't talking about 1n1 situations. But also in teamfights, not everysingle guy will buy a taser and whoever wants to taser unix gets inrange of unix "tasering" him to. Then warding the entie map isn't really cheap and when he gets 1-2 wards himself ah whatever, without a rancor complete warding is hard.

 

But thats not what has been discussed, its just that such a complete 5 seconds lockdown seems a bit op
