Hey AOS,

I just wanted to check in and see how the community was doing. Any cool updates? Any upcoming tournies? I started to lag really badly in AOS games so I basically stopped playing a while back, not sure what was causing the lag.

Core is going well, just launched a new site www.coreprogaming.com if you guys are interested.

All the best and happy holidays,

Neuro

The information that you are after can be found in the recent changelogs. I refer you to those.

It's interesting that you are promoting your new site to us here, seeing as, in your own words, this new site will be "99.99% non AoS related". That's quite a figure you used there.

As for your lag, you are probably the only one getting chronic lag since I haven't heard anyone else reporting lag like that. So either get a new PC (should be easy) or maybe the lag isn't as bad as you made out.

I'm unbanned.

With regards to lag I totally blame Blizz. On my brothers old laptop I managed to get 40-60FPS on low about 2 years ago. Then a patch (1.5) just decimated it. Rather than 40-60FPS possible in 4v4s, I was now getting 20 FPS at the start of 1v1s - which gradually decreased as the game went on. It really pisses me off now that I can't even finish a game of AoS on the laptop due to Blizz's pathetic patches.

He helped grow the AoS community by contributing time/money. I have no problem that he promoted a bit of his idea or his plans.

Instead of mobbing this person who least helped, I'd find something I can do to improve the community.

I know some of you are still young and do not have the money or knowledge to help our AoS developers; however, you can still write up some guides and perhaps make a new hero for the design contest!

Aw missed you Mus :) The lag was actually pretty debilitating, turned my games into powerpoints - nothing to do with my actual comp which is quite powerful, that lag combined with me having no time to actually play games outside of work made me stop. I mainly play league now, but even that is just a game or two every other day.

That said, i wanted to know how the community was doing here? Are you guys getting in regular IHs now? Are there upcoming tournaments planned?

LOL yeah ive been trying to do that for 6 months but after countless messages to basically every dev on here not a single one has managed to fix the problem so i cant do the item database

1. Log on Mumble.

2. Yall at Red or RNG the moment they log on to the server. If they are in dev channel, simply ask Quitt to throw you in there)

3. Tell them to read mails.

4. Profit.

or you can just call Red's cellphone.

There is a new AoS IH league started by sphynx, the topic for it should be near the top of the aeon of storms lobby if you want to read more. I'm not personally participating, but from what I can tell it is generally successful. I have seen more inhouses starting since I first started in housing, unless it is just me getting invited to inhouses more because people now know I exist. Highdrater is the new game balancer, and I think he is doing a great job so far. You can see some changes he has been making in the beta change log in the announcements section. Those are the important things I can think of.

Thanks Moo! I just read up on the AoS IH League, sounds great. I did know highdrater was the new balancer and that's pretty awesome especially with his mastery of the game (nearly 1000 times better than me)

Well the meta game has sunk to a new level of boring with push comps being very atrong to nearly unstoppable depending in hiw the draft/how the strat is executed.

Carries still get an unnfair amoubt of safe farm in the jungle which combined with the stunknife and their all round good skillsets leads them to be3 too strong early game.

A lot of the better players have become uninterested in this game and moved on to other things.

Apparantly in their absence eu inhouses have becane cliquish and uninviting.

The league appears to be the only thing which has been a minor success, props to sphynx.

Pub scene us still bemoaning zera and shadow.

The whole ward situation is just bad now due to scanners no longer revealing.

Thats all I can think of now. Thanks for asking.

i am donating my free time to fix their forum up and update details that are like 1 year old....

if your suggesting monetary donations then i cant really see how that's going to help seeing as they cant even put free help to good use

I believe that I've already talked to you about the situation: Instead of posting everything in one thread, you'll have to separate the database into several threads. I think I doubled the number of text you can fill in, but that doesn't seem to be good enough.

I think I made some modifications awhile ago. See if it still doesn't give you more space.

this was your response and it is nothing like the response you are giving here, i messaged you back within 15 minutes and it has taken till today for you to reply

im not trying to point the finger at anyone or piss anyone off but i have literally been working my way through the list of devs for 6 months about this

how hard is it for someone to give away there free time to help you?

And for this reason, using Awesome's Wiki would be very useful.

Thanks Yaldi - are wards a problem now because people are over-warding? as opposed to under-warding which was the case before

It all depends on the quality of the lobby. In EU chances are you have to ward and buy scanners as carry, since support seem to have better things to spend money on.

They need their gravity edge bro. Its honestly rather funny to hear people say that they will buy ONE ward once they complete their core items - and they are playing a "support" hero.
