jamescossey Posted December 9, 2013 Report Share Posted December 9, 2013 boros nerf wasn't that bad. 1 sec off his super buff from spell damage and debuffs. base damage he actually gains like 10 damage. int damage he just loses 1 sec. none int build maybe 50 damage lost, int build 200 damage lost. per target. and his int build was really strong when enemies were clumped up. Still pissed about vorpal. they need to fix that worthless ability. or make it a new one. is this still planned to change? Vorpal is one of the best tanks besides drake, justicar, and micro, who are banned very often, so I don't think he needs his W buffed all that much. MarXX Posted December 9, 2013 Report Share Posted December 9, 2013 It seems boros is encouraged to be built crit instead of INT nowadays.... that nerf is actually a buff (if you disregard INT scaling) when you think about it. its actually 10 damage more (time x dps) compared to the boros before nerf. But if you build INT, this becomes a hard nerf of 20% damage potential (INT scaling wise disregarding base damage) nevermind that his ulti was nerfed, its back at its original values. so this nerf buffs one build and nerfs another build. If with drake you are on a losing streak in teamfights you are ina vicious circle. If you are on a rampage on the other hand its a virtuous circle. Micro is static. Seemed like the nerf-hammer hit a bit hard last time time he got patched. I realize he was auto-banned quite a bit IH but seriously... Egon.Stetmann Caustic Salve - Changed Cooldown to 6 seconds from 7/6/5/4. - Reduced duration to 6 seconds from 12. - Reduced max stacks to 2 from 3 So now he does half the amount of damage because spell duration lasts half as long (doesn't state whether spell dmg was doubled to offset) AND he can only stack twice. This affects his ability to heal just as much as it does his offensive casting capabilities. If his is meant to be a support hero, why make him worse at support than a hero like Raynor who provides a longer stun cast that can hit multiple targets, a dps increase tag and a slow along with a HUGE long range nuke.... Vorpals W seems to be more useful now that the range can actually reach rangded dps/int hero's like nova, cypress, and darpa etc... I feel this game lacks more low costing items. Personally i think most nerfing to some of these heros is pretty pointless for some hero's that was fine the way they were on this game. Its just Making it to easy cause ppl cant deal with some things when there is build in-game counters but ppl never want to change from there builds such as glass cannons with no res an such or cry when they get back door on cause of there carelessness. Change to shadow passive not needed, if people still havent got use to the fact that theres a shadow in there game an u dont want him to steal a tower or so do what the rest of the smart people do toss a ts ward up here an there, or watch those lanes on the map u see no red dots but all ur creeps are gone pretty fast take a look. Its like if theres a zera or ghost use ts wards/scans/ or ts when needed if needed. Its not balancing the game when your breaking the core of hero's making them sub par to what they use to be an then they are underbalance an pretty much useless like a few of the heros are now. As the oldest rule in the book go's if it isn't broke why try to fix it. Don't get me wrong by all means some hero's need to be buff an debuff a touch but when there's things that are fine the way they are like the shadow passive don't needs be change All i say is why, an if you say cause its cheap cause he can ninja towers an push lanes with out not being seen till hes at a tower. An I always say only if you let him. If you know there's a shade so as said before its your fault for not taking use of such items or just not playing smart an got a bit careless. Egon don't lag its just people playing on low end pc/macs that can hardly run sc2 use him as a reason to say makes them lag, cause they die to his dots in there low frame rate spikes.
