What would you like to be remade in AoS 7.0 (Aka AoS HotS)

This isn't about adding new stuff, as much as taking out and remaking certain heroes, mechanics, aesthetics etc. What aspect of the game would you like to have remade in the next version of AoS?

 

For me, I'm sick of the map - Really, I would love it if AoS had a facelift in that department. Seeing youtube videos of older versions of AoS which I missed out on, I really enjoyed all the different maps, and I thought they were not as monotonous as the current one, with both sides almost identical to one another.

 

I think Kerrigan will probably get remade and possibly Queen because of the model and animation changes. But don't quote me on this one.

I hate the concept of taking anything out of the game unless its broken beyond repair (eg: Viron, he ruined the game). I wish the devs would not have scrapped the heroes they did and just added new heroes to fill roles instead of changing heroes to fit roles. My 2 favorite heroes of all time are no more (3.0 Cyprus and old LZ) when both of those could have been balanced much in the same way 3.0 Drake evolved into what we know today.

 

EDIT: Be glad you missed the alternate old maps, they were terrible. I have never missed them once.

Neutral creeps so junglers are actually a specialist role and so carries dont get unhindered free farm. Single most backwards thing in this game. Especially with every carry having a skill set that makes them goid gankers... neither of these make much sense to be honest

Just put the guy with the worst mechanic skill and a no-brain hero in the jungle, ( You still owe me 2x HOTS African...)

Really nice if boros R would be remake , I'm not saying it's op but yea should be remake

 

 

 

I liked so much the new Kerrigan ult then what it was before but if. They are planning to put. Primal Kerrigan. Should have new skills and if they also put ghost Kerrigan should be not that = to nova skills

 

 

Bring back viron fixed he wouldn't be so op more because we got parallax and a lot of spell resist items :)

 

 

Combine penthos and new lz into 1 again?

 

 

 

 

 

Can we have team abilities?

 

Like if u get a specific team you Herod will have new skills when close TO. X allied unit (hero) could be anything , for example if drake and brine go hunt some1 together and they are within a 5 units radio close to each other their skill set changes to something creative. Lets say drake's q becomes A big spike that is like a skillshot when it is. Thrown If it hits the target stuns for 1.5 seconds and. Brine get another. Cool ability bla blah blah hope you get the point

 

 

This could make the game more unique and make players in pubs to play more as a team..

 

And the skills could be paired wih any other hero

 

Could be. Boros and shadow

 

 

Nova and Kerrigan

 

Micro and vorpal

 

Jakk and Jackson

 

 

Vergil and zera. Could be also multiple heros.

 

Like a Protoss team

 

Zera , Vergil , penthos, lz , null

 

Terran

 

Nova , raynor , jakk , tosh , tychus

 

Zerg

 

Crackling , toxi , (maar , micro) , Kerrigan , balrog

 

 

This is just an idea that came up to my mind...

I agree with Jessika, the map needs to be refreshed. Give it a new look and new feel would be nice. Same game, but different themed map would be nice.

 

@CoolNoob I think your idea of team abilities would be pretty neat, but sounds like a lot of work.

 

I think if the map were increased in size, adding the corner stores back would be nice. Bringing back the old LZ would be awesome as well.

 

This falls under remaking the map, but the addition to an actual jungle would be neat. A new dynamic to the game. Line of sight limited, certain units would shine in the jungle. Also new options for team ganks, ambushes in the jungle, luring hero's to death, many new possibilities. I use grunty as an example. He gets speed boost from the river, so why can't other units gain advantage from the physical map itself?

A few things IMO that are needed:

 

-more ranged agi hard caries. Nova and Darpa are the only agi ranged carries, all the other agi ranged heroes have no dps-increasing abilities.

-map update nice, but more importantly base update. So easy to turtle, especially since you can destroy creeps before they can attack a tower with AoE abilities from Maar, Null, Queen, Cow, and many more. Backdooring/splitpushing only options to actually win a game that's not onesided.

-Some sort of spell reflect/ absorbtion item. Physical damage is hard-countered by DST + Barbed, but spell resist is considerbly harder to get. Everything has hard-counters except spell damage.

-Balance Talents. Youth, FItness, Recover hugely OP.

 

Things that would be very nice to have:

 

-more powerful consumables, for faster paced early game, and for more risk-reward

-bring back old abilities that were loved by all (Grav Well, old Cyprus Ult, Old Zera ult, Old Bio E, old Plannar Void, Magnitude)

-make spells do a lot more damage early game than they do now (1 offensive spell should at least deal 2.5 times the damage of the strongest AA, not barely equal like now). That is best achieved by lowering max hp

I agree with most of this, but +200 energy from the youth talent is not OP, were you talking about a different talent?

Nope. +200 Starting Energy is OP in that everyone other than vorpal, pentos and a very small number of other heroes greatly benefit from it (so much that its a must have for every hero that uses energy. Every time I try to do without it I have a way worse start than when I do take it. For some heroes it is almost double mana, and in some cases you need it to be able to do your full combo at level 6 from 70% mana.

Merc Marines (among other calldowns maybe)

Chrono Dagger (transports user to where they were 5 seconds previously)

New (HotS?) map. Or at least a complete jungle redesign.

+1 for what Doom said about spell resist above^^

Also +1 for what Doom said about early spell vs AA damage above^^. IMO should just decrease the starting AA damage of all heroes and creeps, then reduce the HP of all creeps to keep last-hitting similar.

Also think that AA damage should just be reduced overall, but also slightly nerf the strength of armour and the armour gains from AGI.

Boros and Zera ultimate remakes

Overall reduce the burst potential of non-burst heroes.

Bring back Viron

Slightly reduce the number of neutral camps, but keep them packed together a bit. Eg, get rid of the ones along the edges. Reduce the bounty and/or xp for killing neutrals.

Maybe slightly reduce the amount of hp regeneration available through items..?

ITEMS

 

removal of stun knife / time splitter its just a bad game mechanic

 

change lethal barb into the old hand of mengsk (+50 wep dmg upon activate + 15% move speed & 60% wep speed for 10 seconds) but upgradeable into a better item later on, this would also compensate for the removal of stun knife to make agi carries still viable early game

 

Nerf to dst no 1 item should be able to counter every wep dmg aa hero so hard, but wep dmg items should be scaled down slightly to compensate

 

nerf the ridiculous wep speed on pyre

 

remove some of the wep speed on arcbound but give it another effect like wep dmg or crit dmg

 

make space battery give energy regen to your allies again

 

create an item for casters that gives them timescale while casting to reduce there cast times

 

bring back valors manifest, olympic torch, blue gene & turn them into a version of Ihan for each different stat type i.e. powerstone + psionic lasher = valors which gives agi + hp every 2 minutes up to 10 stacks that last forever

 

bring back masamune so there is some other option besides yamato for decent timescale that isnt an activate & it also makes for many funny events to occur, geez even if you think its op still just nerf that heroes spell res too (there is no stun baton any more for perma stun locks i dont know why this item got removed)

 

aggresors guise was such a cool item for aa heroes i dont know why this ever got removed, it should be re implemented i cant really see the difference between this and having any other cloak item besides the immense trolling fun it provided and increased apm / skill cap

 

soul engine badly needs an upgrade, surely it can be reworked to become part of an item for aa heroes

 

revert electric mantle back to a non activate item

 

remove atom smasher or atleast nerf it, its op as hell

 

make super heated mantle components cheaper so its easier to build

 

change explosive retrofit to 60%dmg on melee heroes and 40%dmg on ranged heroes

 

 

ill get to heroes later when i have time

Brilliance > Youth.

 

Adapt your builds for energy hunger, or buy pots. You can't afford to waste a talent on energy in most cases.
