pchacker
I decided to take this personality test thing I found, it was surprisingly accurate I think. Though I don't get why its called a "protector". You can take the test for free you just need to make an account ( I used a second email so I don't get spammed). ginosaji
I'm an INTJ on the Myers-Briggs personality tests as well... I never took much stock in the things, but I was bored one day and took the Myers Briggs. After taking the test, I thought hey, that seems really familiar some some how. Anyway, I looked up my name in their database and it turns out I had taken the test almost ten years earlier when I was in 6th grade.... I got the same results then. Very interesting to see yourself in an objective way, as you can never truly be 100% objective analyzing your own mind. After going through some major life events and feeling like I had changed/grown as a person, it was especially interesting to see the results point towards the fact that I haven't changed all that much. Midknight
Though I don't get why its called a "protector". They're referred to as "protectors" because they tend to value preservation of history and tradition along with personal responsibility and hierarchy. David Kiersey labels the SJs as Guardians and the 4 subtypes are Supervisors (ESTJ), Inspectors (ISTJ), Protectors (ISFJ) and Providers (ESFJ) because each, in their own way, is a "guardian" of something. ESTJs stand at the head of a group and provides leadership and authority to his subordinates to protect them from anarchy. ISTJs protect from falsehood and failure by inspecting procedures, people, objects, etc. and spotting violations. ISFJs protect people's morality and happiness while ESFJs protect people from hunger and thirst, exposure to the elements, etc.
