Raynor silencing shoot

I know this glitch is known but I like to discuss it again...

When Raynor uses his e ability there is a chance that even when you hit, it doesn't affect the enemie...

I tested it and it seemed to happen more often if the enemie is at close range or close to max range...

Yes I'm sure I didn't miss or would someone ever miss a target that doesn't move or charge directly at you in a straight line...

the splash is probably configured in a way that makes it "thinner" than you would think or there may even be some tiny holes along the line where the target is not affected.

I've experienced this too, I think it the radii should be widened a little to help prevent it from happening.

imagine you play raynor and this some dps hero charges at you in a flobing straight lane... you mark him, use e in order to silence him and gtfo while raiders slow him... BUT NOTHING flobING HAPPENS WHEN YOU USE E and you think "WTF" then you are dead cuz some darpa jumped on you or zera or ling or whatever....

Please dont increase the range on raynors e.

They wanted increase the AoE, but i think that making it so that the bug that ginosaji and wrath talked about doesn't exist would be better, although I think correcting other bugs *zeratool ulti + unix eggs cough cough* takes precedence over this.

simple solution;

cut raynors E into 2 parts / shots

make 1 travel at current speed and 1 travel slightly slower so it ensures it hits close targets

halve the damage portion so that you dont end up doing double damage (yes in the odd scenario someone will only take half damage but its better then no silence)

if the timing is corrected on it both shots will overlay and will still look like 1 shot

Raynor charging up ulti aiming someone else --> me starting to attack raynor with a melee hero ( not shadow) standing next to him dies from the ulti, I wasn't crossing the the animated line between raynor and his target for obvious reasons, but the ulti somehow hit me and I die.

... never saw this hapen... and I used to play raynor alot untill the e glitch flobed me up so badly in some games that I changed to play tbone when I want to be op caster... atleast he doesn't glitch and its rly not balanced if an ability a hero relies on bugs around and his win/loos bepends on luck...

if you were standing next to him it makes sense. Im sure the hit box of his ult is at least 1 unit wide. So if your on top of him even if behind. It will still hit. This is the same reason you can get hit buy raynor snipe if you stand behind raynor. Same thing happens on the immortal hero. Because its like a 2.25 unit wide skill if you stand in the range on top of him but not in front you will still be hit.

tl;dr skills are wider then the heroes.

Actually I'm pretty sure the OP had it right. The missile of the Silencing Shot travels too fast, and as a result there's a chance that it will go right through people without hitting them.

Wait, silencing shot has a projectile? Oo. What is the advantage of that over a persistent line effect?

Yes, the bug from every time I have seen it, has shown itself when the intended target is on an elevation that doesn't match the one your are on. The highest rate of occurance seems to happen when the enemy is on a ramp or in a transitioning phase between high and low ground.

happened to me in river and between t1 and t2 tower more then enough to, you mean that the evaluation changes where it looks like it goes and where it actually goes
