CoolNoob
Well haven't you notice that when there is a newb , they go and let either the tower or another hero kill them.... Well one of the problems is that when sc2 was updated the life bar or (status bar) dissapears , and if u want it back you have to go to settings and put it back , so that's one of the problems.. They cannot see their life so their don't even know when to run or move or idk... Do something , another thing is that I have seen people treating them soo bad. That they feed in purpose. And won't probably play aos again.. So we should try adding a system in where newbs can learn the game really fast. That is one of the main reasons these game doesn't more popular.. Ik that it's not aos developers fault that must newbs cannot see their status life , also they don't know that they are suppose to cast their abilities with the keyboard... And it makes it annoying for them to learn, I been observation them , in fact I'm also a noob but a coolnoob :D
Jaysi
A tutorial has been suggested but its a good amount of work and some people are too lazy to use a tutorial because its boring anyway. What's been suggested instead, is a better community that is willing to teach and accept and not just tell noobs to quit right away and bm them. Though the new players need to be receptive as well, too many of them never listen or respond.

Spooky
But it doesn't require a lot of work to put few important information on loading screen: - basic information about heroes, abilities, items, lanes, towers, game goal, etc. - about required game settings (like mentioned in OP) - about possibility to set up hotkeys for items - about possibility to run solo test mode and -help command Instead we have completely useless information about tournament where anyone potentially interested would know anyway (because of forum). Firnefex
There are always people who troll or bm newbs each game! And others don't want to teach the same shap every single time. I also often ask myself why the heck they not simply starting a single player game to learn how to handle few things!? A short text-based Tutorial in Single Player would be the best to learn why tower is suddenly shooting at you etc. And a hint for Single Player has to be shown in the Arcade menu, or maybe an extra button! Adamantium
Tourney info isn't completely useless, but I know what you mean. I can't figure out why there are not even basic instructions on loading screen. Moo and Skydie
Skydie
An extract from a quote I made a few months ago.. I've not been on Aos for a while but I still wonder that it would be nice if there was more interactive help. Such as a skip able Aos tutorial, with the Aos site mentioned more heavily, so that new players can improve their gameplay. Perhaps even a heavy mention of guides on the splash screen. Or a basic tutorial which outlines certain things, forming a information box around parts of the GUI which can then be closed. I've just found three other threads in which tutorials has come up: http://www.aeonofstorms.com/index.php?/topic/3817-complete-beginners-guide-to-aos/ http://www.aeonofstorms.com/index.php?/topic/3796-looking-for-decent-players/ http://www.aeonofstorms.com/index.php?/topic/3920-can-we-add-a-newbie-casual-mode-please/ It's the obvious solution. Heck if we need players to join IH, as we do, we need to bring the community to them. The "Join Aeonofstorms.com" at the end of a game was a step in the right direction - but the devs need to listen to what has been echoed multiple times. Heck delaying 1 or 2 heroes won't matter in the long run - if the pub scene improves and more and more players tread into the Mumble scene. The most curious thing about this is that support has been coming from everywhere, from pub players to moderators to IH players, deliberately in order of skill level, why can't the devs at least acknowledge this as a solution - or tell the community the reason why they can't. Moo
Please do make a tutorial. It takes forever to understand most of the things that go on in Aeon of Storms, and a tutorial would give an extremely helpful headstart to being good/decent at the game. I stopped playing the game because of how confusing it was, but came back to it after playing League when i actually knew more about mobas in general. This game needs to be easier to learn quite badly in my opinion, it would help its popularity a ton. Skydie
GENLORDZ
We can add the links provided by Skydie to the info page for AoS and hope newbies actually read them Moo
Figgonson
nah, devs wont listen cuz it would actually help the game. Skydie
Adamantium
What's the point of an attitude like that? You know this is something Ekco does for fun in his free time right? If he didn't care about the game it wouldn't even exist anymore.
Figgonson
Im just angry right now because lag issues are preventing me from playing... not sure why though. I have never had issues before. Also, your troll detecting skilz need to improve, cuz theyy currently is bad. Thirdly, how bout that suggestion section? Does he look at that ever? or is that still a joke? Skydie
TaxHaven
Sir please calm yo tits down, it doesn't benefit anyone to be angry as a muthafacka. Anyways, I have been encountering more of these noobs in NA pubs especially, at least some of the ones on EU listens. On NA, they decide to ignore you, and just feed, and swear once asked to leave. Asked politely might I add. How about a popup box when first entering a game, with just a couple of sentences, saying something like: Listen to other players Help and guides are on www.aeonofstorms.com Please try to refrain from swearing. This would at least make them consider heeding some advice, and vising this beautiful, state-of-the-art website, and reduce general anger from the more experienced players at noobs. My only evidence is him saying so, but that's enough for me. Remember however, that this is his game and he will design heroes the way he wants to. He has used suggestions but usually modifies them. I agree with this also, and it would be much easier to implement than a tutorial, however this relies on the pub players (unless they decide to visit the site) many of whom are either BM, a noob, or just don't talk that much to others. So I would prefer a tutorial, but if no tutorial please do this.
TaxHaven
flobing implement this already, I'm tired of flobtards refusing to clean their shap-filled ears and flobing feeding 15-30 times before leaving, those flobing cunts turn people off this game.
