Seriphos
Kakaru Scimitar ---------------------------------------- Use: Critical Builds Type: Critical Strike Components: Chaos Prism (1500) Ghosting Garb (1050) Pulse Regenerator (425) Cost: Components (1890) Recipe (300) Total (3275) Gives: 20% Critical Strike Chance 15% Evasion 1.00 Energy Regeneration [unique] On each attack, you gain a stack that gives +4% Critical Strike Damage and +2% Evasion, up to 5 stacks. [Active] For 3 seconds, you gain +60% Critical Strike Chance, and +30% Evasion. 90 second cooldown. ---------------------------------------- Reasoning: Name. Kakaru is the flying creature from Shakuras. The concept is that the blade is made from Kakaru bone, the handle from Kakaru mantle, and enchanted with the Uraj and Khalis crystals. Stats. Critical strike items are utterly necessary nowadays. This item is a hybrid of critical strike and evasion, since both items are in scarcity. The unique is very effective for raising your critical strike damage and evasion, but it will only work in combat, stating the advantage. The active on the other hand, gives excellent critical strike chance and evasion for 3 seconds, used to put the unique on cap. ---------------------------------------- Changelog: 23/07/12 - Item Creation 1:00am - added cost, buffed bonuses slightly 1:10am - nerfed evasion to 15%, down from 20% 1:12am - reduced cost by 200 and fixed grammar 6:20pm - added a closing statement 6:57pm - added suggestions from residente, thank you! 10/08/12 - Added Active Cooldown and reduced active evasion to 30% ---------------------------------------- Thoughts, suggestions, recommendations, comments, likes, and violent reactions are well-appreciated. residente
the item concept is very nice but i find it very cheap with the unique, the stats the item have and the active, it's like 100% crit chance and tons of evasion, if u buy and you will be like... an ethereal hero the components of the item should be · 1500 (if im not wrong) · 1050 · 425 Reduce the recipe cost to 300 for example and the item will be 3275, instead of 20, maybe 25 critical strike chance, for the cost of other items like pyre or ihan for example it's a nice evasion a crit item
Seriphos
First of all, thank you for your constructive support. the item concept is very nice but i find it very cheap with the unique, the stats the item have and the active, it's like 100% crit chance and tons of evasion, if u buy and you will be like... an ethereal hero Good point. That would be 15% + 15% + 20% evasion, or 50% evasion. If they actually changed the way evasion stacks this item would be outright balanced. the components of the item should be · 1500 (if im not wrong) · 1050 · 425 Reduce the recipe cost to 300 for example and the item will be 3275, instead of 20, maybe 25 critical strike chance, for the cost of other items like pyre or ihan for example it's a nice evasion a crit item Great idea! This way, I could make it a mid game item. It would really be worth the item slot for a late game item, and yes, 2690 might be quite cheap. Eliwan
Evasion doesn't stack X+Y+Z. Evasion stacks like this-- A = random(0,100) B = 100 * (1 - Eva%1) if (A < B) blahbah.missed else B = B * (1 - Eva%2) if (A < B) blahbah.missed else (ad infinitum) So let's plug in 15, 15, and 20% as our values. 100 * (1 - 0.15) * (1 - 0.15) * (1 - 0.20) 100 * 0.85 * 0.85 * 0.80 => 57.8 Hit chance = 57.8% if you have 15, 15, 20% Evasion. Cronos
Eli were did you find this algorithm?
Eliwan
The fact that everything else in the game (Time Scale, Crit Damage, Amplification) stacks like that I would assume that it would be the same for this. Edit: I wrote Chance instead of Damage. My bad.
Banzaiguy
Nonono, Crit chance stacks linearly. If youve got 2 arcs, that's 70% Crit chance. 3 arcs and it's 105%.

I wanted to say, 3200 minerals for a great great item like pyre, so more or less the same for your item, 25% crit chance with very nice evasion an nice mana sustain, i think evasion have dinimishing returns, so if you buy 5 timesplitter you dont have 100% evasion, the way i like the item is the active, if you have and that item, you can attack or run from a tower, and ensure tower dont kill you
Seriphos
Well, that was the general idea. It was to make a great tower dive item for crit heroes, because at the moment that's what they don't have. Too bad this might be too good for nova. Seriphos
Tower-diving is on the want to get rid of list. Especially on the squishies. If you come to think of it, this item can only be used for effective tower diving when you have void steppers too. Still, you'll have only around 70% evasion. This item also counters AA tower diving, haha.

Asur
Looks completely OP. The Unique+Active makes this looks stupidly OP. I would say either the active, or the unique has to go. This item will make nova complete trash when other AA heroes starts using this. EDIT: On second thought, no...just simply no. This looks ridiculous. Over 100% evasion if coupled with: ...and over 100% crit with just this:
Banzaiguy
Actually, you'd only be getting about ~66% evasion due to the way evasion stacks.

Asur
Actually, you'd only be getting about ~66% evasion due to the way evasion stacks. So essentially you don't even need the other two...lol. That makes the item even more OP. >.> Yea, I'm still sticking to it. I would say either the unique or the active has to go. Preferably the active. God, evasion dont stack that way , then just buy evasion boots and 5 time splitters and just go and destroy all the base without being aaed by enemies, creeps and towers Yea, I didn't think it did tbh, but I also never tried 1 with 5 . Seriphos
Well, only some heroes can do tons of AA in 3 seconds, so I think it should be clear. I'm not sure if critical strike chances are calculated when the damage occurs or when the projectile is released, as this may diversely affect how Ironhide.Cain would work! If it calculated when the damage occurs, this item needs the nerf stick, but if not, I think it seems completely fine. Here's another note: The unique doesn't give critical strike chance. It's just crit damage, so it's a flat 20% all throughout, therefore I don't get the 100% chance. If you mean via the active, it's only 3 seconds, which can be easily countered by many things, like shrapnel and electric mantle. Yes, you may say this has too much crit damage, but you need 5 hits to cap it out (yes, even with the crit chance since 100/20 is 5!) as this item alone, leaving you with -40% crit damage, or consuming the active. I agree that this item is powerful, but I believe that is just what critical strike builds need- a backbone item. Just like with AA carries with tank heroes existing in most of the game, it acts as the pyre of the build. Remember, at great power comes this great cost, since the effect of the item without its Unique and Active . It seems though that this item is lacking in raw weapon damage, which makes it a balanced item imo, since one item shouldn't have everything (excluding stabilizer and yamato o.O). Lastly, I forgot to place a cooldown on the active. I should set this to about 1 minute to 90 seconds, since the active is just too useful to be used in all engagements.
