Snow
So I was playing LoL today, and I admit it, I enjoyed it. Mostly b/c of no rq and straight 5v5, but I do also enjoy the heroes. I was wondering if, possibly, that we could just straight copy some of their heroes? I mean, why not? Anyways that's my Sequestrigestion for today. WhaleTits
hi lawsuit also that would be like, an artist copying another guys painting. why would u do that?
BestPlayer
Lol what are you guys talking about? Just about ALL of SotIS/AoS heroes 3.0 and earlier were STRAIGHT COPIES of DotA 2 heroes.
Snow
I played Dota for a little (disliked it) and I see LoL have some of their heroes. Like literally named the same and shibbles. Is it really copyright? Even if it were it would be awfully hard to prove if we changed the names/look and played with the abilities a little. I would really like to see Zed or Ahri. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Zed/Ability_Details and http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Ahri/Ability_Details ofc Zed's ult would not be a debuff but rather a prolonged magic attack. (so parralx couldnt counter him hard) Everyone should post their favorite hero from Lol (or Dota/Hon/?) that they would like to see incorporated into AoS. And maybe someone cool should come along and put together some AoS friendly suggestions. And maybe Ecko or Ekco would be feeling cool and maybe put the hero/heroes in. residente
go LoL and don't come back if you like it so much, makes no sense tu just copy a hero 100%, why would you like to play 2 different mobas with the same heroes? ridiculous, every game should be unique, and AoS would not deserve to be played anymore if it was so bad to be a straight copy of LoL
DarkTemplar
LoL for me, fails so hard, graphic engine sucks, that gems orbs or wathever are called, it's a crap, heroes system (pay if u want all heroes) sucks, and most of the heroes, are a damned copy of DOTA. AeonOfStorms, it's unique, and it should be even more unique (when talents were implanted, I felt pity) there are a lot of things that can be added, to make this even better, and unique (even of course it will have similar features, as follows the same way of playing). For me AOS is better, in many aspects than others (Dota2 is quite good too, but the graphic engine and playing interfaz, for me it's just so crap to play it) and that's why I play it over others. Blizzard is making his own DOTA (or at least they said so) I think AoS should be that. It's a good base to start with, and the hours and hours of Devs and Admins, will be recogniced much more, and they will earn "real" money to continue improving the game. Differences makes everything possible, if everyone was the same, world will just fail.
Phyresis
There was actually a comment by a blizzard admin on the difference between AoS (SotIS at the time) saying that SotIS had a good run, but once its released, Blizzard All-stars would overtake it. I cant find the thread anymore, it was quite a while ago.
BestPlayer
RNG is/was inwolwed in the dewelopment of blissard all-stars
Snow
In all honesty there is something about AoS that I prefer over LoL. I'm not sure what it is, but I think that there is no wrong in "borrowing" other's ideas and add it into your own. It does not sacrifice the uniqueness of your idea to borrow.. After all you are who you are because of your parents, the culture, etc., but you are still you? Still unique, no? All I'm saying that is that I feel like we could take somethings from other successes. We don't have to copy everything. Anyways I don't plan on going over to LoL. Psyght
Lol blizzard would never do that.
Snow
Lol blizzard would never do that. Blizzard hired professional Science Fiction writers to write the campaign. They have money that surpasses logic. Although they weren't the first rts.
WhaleTits
RNG is/was inwolwed in the dewelopment of blissard all-stars not true as far as i know. i am under the impression that he was rejected.
BestPlayer
In that case I apologise. I don't think he missed out on anything though, Blizzard All-Stars will be a flobing terrible game, and only stay around on the front page of the arcade if it's forcibly placed there by Blizzard themselves, as a permanent "Featured" game.
