Name: Skillful.Component [Original name is Jex]

Portrait: Firebat

Unit Base: Firebat

Type: STR

Script: A Special firebat who weilds many weapons and magic. He was an ex ghost who had psionic abilities who was a part of many spec op missions. Eventually he was nearly killed on a failed mission against the zerg inwhich he lost all his allies. Luckily he was evaced out at the last minute be one of the two survivors out of his squad of 10. This was when Jex realised how vulernable he was by himself. In response, he started training in the arts of close ranged combat and how to survive close range. Jex, with his mastered psionic abilities was able to use fairly ranged abilities. In any point his foes had managed to get close to him, he uses his close ranged combat skills to defeat his foe then. He was recognized as one of the strongest military heroes in which his skills are so good, he actually expanded his psionic abilities and standard skills beyond normal, enabling him to combine them together to defeat his enemies. His friends were quite amazed at how he was able to control and continue his abilities and eventually started him Skillful since when he used his abilities, it looked like he wasn't even trying and putting on a show. In addition, he knew how to use so many different components and weapons that would normally never be used. This was how he got the name Skillful.Component.


Skillful now wears a firebat suit so he can sustain damage and use the flame thrower close range. He relys on his trusty burning boomeraang to damage his foes from far range and make psionic energy balls to destroy his foes from a distance.

Heroic Passive: Close Combat

"When skillful attacks, he gains Physical and Spell Resistance for 2 seconds [Refreshing upon new attack]. In addition, if skillful takes any damage, he gains Attack speed for 2 second [refreshing upon taking more damage]. Both of these don't stack."


Heroic Passive Effect: Gains +12% Physical and Spell Resistance. Gains +18% Attack Speed.






Ability One: Burning Boomeraang

"Skillful throws his boomeraang which is on fire. He throws it at a speed of 10 and deals Spell Damage to the first enemy it hits, slowing their movement speed by 25% for 2 seconds. In addition, the boomeraang rebounds backwards in the opposite direction. When the boomeraang hits it's target, the boomeraang will head toward a random spot in a 3-unit Radius at the speed of 5 for 2.5 seconds. If Skillful touches the boomeraang on the rebound, it will refund all his Energy and Reduce his Cooldown on Burning Boomeraang to 1."

Level 1: Deals 80[+50%INT] Spell Damage.

Level 2: Deals 130[+50%INT] Spell Damage.

Level 3: Deals 180[+50%INT] Spell Damage.

Level 4: Deals 230[+50%INT] Spell Damage.


Effect: Catch this boomeraang. It is very good to last shot with it as it will cost no energy if you catch it. Note: If you don't hit anything once the boomeraang moves out of range [12 units], it won't rebound and hit anything, so you won't have a chance to catch it coming back. The boomeraang heads towards a random spot in a 3-unit Radius around you. It is easy to catch it if that spot is in the center of the circle [where you are]. Be prepare to move if it starts heading to where the edge would be if it starts heading there. It isn't to hard to grab unless you are really close to the target. You can use this boomeraang after 1 second of catching it.




Ability Two: Flaming Spin

"Skillful spins around in a circle, burning all enemies in a 3-unit Radius, dealing Physical damage and lowering the enemies Physical Resistance for 3 seconds. Skillful also gains Attack Speed and Spell Resistance for 3 seconds after it. Enemies hit also lose 50% Movement Speed for 2 seconds."

Cooldown: 10//9//8//7

Range: Self [3-unit Radius]


Level 1: Deals 40[+60% Weap] Physical Damage. Amplify Physical Damage 8%. +10% Attack Speed for 3 seconds. +8% Spell Resistance for 3 seconds.

Level 2: Deals 70[+60% Weap] Physical Damage. Amplify Physical Damage 12%. +15% Attack Speed for 3 seconds. +12% Spell Resistance for 3 seconds.

Level 3: Deals 100[+60% Weap] Physical Damage. Amplify Physical Damage 16%. +20% Attack Speed for 3 seconds. +16% Spell Resistance for 3 seconds.

Level 4: Deals 130[+60% Weap] Physical Damage. Amplify Physical Damage 20%. +25% Attack Speed for 3 seconds. +20% Spell Resistance for 3 seconds.


Effect: This amplifys damage for close range combat. Also to help a slight burst inbetween auto-attacks. This ability also goes GREAT with your E ability. Use this too to reduce spell damage.




Ability Three: Psionic Energy Ball

"Skillful channels for 1 second before making a ball of energy and throwing it at an enemy target. This ball moves at a speed for 15 at the target and deals Spell Damage upon hitting the enemy. One the Energy ball hits it's destination [Killing or hitting nothing because enemy teleported, ect. ect.] It will bounce back to Skillful at a Speed of 4 [ +0.4*Number of Rebounds]. If the Energy Ball hits Skillful it disappears. If Skillful uses Flaming Spin when the Energy Ball is within a 3-unit Radius from Skillful, he will hit the Energy Ball back towards a targeted enemy. The Energy Ball can only bounce a certain amount of times and a successful hitting the Energy ball with Flaming Spin will cause the Cooldown of Flaming Spin to reset to 0 and will refund the Energy used if Skillful doesn't hit any enemies with Flaming Spin. The Energy Ball will continously hit the same target until said target, dies, moves out of vision, or moves out of range. If the target is out of ranged, Energy Ball auto-maticly targets a different unit. If the energy ball retargets, it will priortize enemy heroes. Energy Ball will go on cooldown once Skillful loses the Energy Ball. The Cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds for each successful hit. This deals 50% more Spell Damage to Creeps."

Level 1: Deals 60[+35%INT] Spell Damage. Psionic Energy Ball will bounce by 4 times. [5 hits total] [Max Speed is 5.6]. Lower CD by 8 if you get every single successful hits possible.

Level 2: Deals 90[+35%INT] Spell Damage. Psionic Energy Ball will bounce by 5 times. [6 hits total] [Max Speed is 6.0]. Lower CD by 10 if you get every single successful hits possible.

Level 3: Deals 120[+35%INT] Spell Damage. Psionic Energy Ball will bounce by 6 times. [7 hits total] [Max Speed is 6.4]. Lower CD by 12 if you get every single successful hits possible.

Level 4: Deals 150[+35%INT] Spell Damage. Psionic Energy Ball will bounce by 7 times. [8 hits total] [Max Speed is 6.8]. Lower CD by 14 if you get every single successful hits possible.


Effect: If this ability seems to complicated, you can think of it like this. Ganondorf versus Link. When link uses his master sword to hit the Energy Ball back to ganon. [Except flaming spin is like link swinging the master sword. Use your skill and timing to hit it.] Note: That the speed increases by 0.25 every single time you get a successful rebound hit. If you get to close, Flaming spin may hit, and the CD won't be reduced to 0. This is to prevent rebounding it every 0.2 seconds and also from using Flaming spin to damage enemies every 0.2 seconds as well. It also gets faster as it continues. If you can continue the bounces, the Spell Resistance will refresh from Flaming spin granting you spell resistance for quite a duration. The Max Speed is just me telling you the speed of the final rebound of the Energy Ball.




Ultimate Ability: Psionic Burst

"Skillful is an EX sniper. He is accurate and skilled at long ranged abilities. Mixing in with his strength and psionic abilities, he activates his flame throws and pounds the ground. This causes eruptions of flames in a straight line towards the targeted area. The flames causes the unit to be airborne for 1.5 seconds total, dealing Spell Damage. The Flame travels at a speed of 12. This ability is global. Requires a 1 second channel."

Energy Cost: 200//300//400

Cooldown: 100//80//60

Range: Global


Level 1: Deals 150[+80%INT] Spell Damage.

Level 2: Deals 225[+80%INT] Spell Damage.

Level 3: Deals 300[+80%INT] Spell Damage.


Effect: Help allies if your not in a fight. Finish one off. Fairly low cooldown. It is more useful for stunning than damaging.




Additional Information


This hero doesn't really seemed balanced. My main suggestion tho is that this hero seems to be fairly fun to play. Even laning can be fun. In addition, it has a global ability which is pretty amusing too and fun to use. This hero also requires a fair amount of skill. [Q] requires you to move. And [E] requires you to use your W correctly. In addition, [R] requires aim and good timing if your hitting a moving target.



This hero is a little bit of everything. Early game he is more of a caster. Mid game, he is usually more useful as an auto-attack. He is fairly tanky and his Heroic passive helps him be tanky.

Watch out for silences. They can stop your E pretty effectively and stop you from immediately reusing your Q ability as well.
