New Kerri builds?

So I tried out the reworked kerrigan the other day in several games and noticed that while my creep count was ludacris (700+ in one game compared to 200 /300or so by everyone else) It seemed really hard to do big damage to heros and most of my time was spent slowly killing fleeing enemies with the uber spammable ult as I chased them across map or using boomerang to slow people while my team harassed them and the broodlings swarmed them. It felt very different from the old push R and watch people not smart enough to move die while you AA and leech people style of play. Granted the builds I tried were focused more on INT and attack speed than weapon damage and that may have been the wrong way to go since I believe that the broodling skill adds spell dps but the broodlings themselves attack based on weapon damage.

So I thought I'd ask what builds are most people favoring? Is the goal to stack INT or weapon damage or some combo of both? The broodlings seem rather confusing on that front since they involve both and while her other spells scale on INT the damage isn't really that high late game and you end up spamming the ult a good 10-20 times to get any kills.

So yeah what builds have worked for you? (listing items generally preferred)

Also has anyone figured out a way to control the broodlings effectively? it would be very nice if you could micro them better especially the ones that pop out of the ult and run back to your hero only to turn around and run back to the enemy to attack them. It also seemed really hard to get all the broodlings to attack when you have more than 10-20 although that could just be a cap or something. I had about 30-40+ at one point and half of them just sat idle behind me while I was attacking or moved around aimlessly.

^^ Can you list out suggested items for said builds??

Like I believe I used Grav edge, Argus, timesplitter, archbound, barbed, and organic in the one game

But that was because we ended up in a 2v4 and I had to fill the tank role against their DPS while my tosh ally did most of the damage.

The timesplitter and archbound made it easier to chase them down and keep boomeranging/ulting them if they ran while tosh laid into them with stuns and true damage. It also gives close to max attack speed in 2 items which is not a bad deal. I wanted to get FOE or something but was forced into barbed to counter heavy AA, and figured I'd be better off kiting and healing with organic since we were down in players.

In general

I feel like for an INT build something like SFG, Nitrogen, grav edge, argus, + ?? (Stars fury,Archbound, FOE etc all jump to mind)

DPS wise archbound khali shard FOE timesplitter + ? (probably SFG or nitrogen or BHM)

But I am sure there are better calls to take advantage of her new skills. Its tough to find just 6 to build on her because her bounces combo well with crits, her broodlings scale with weapon damage, and all her skills combo well with INT and BHM/stars pulling her in multiple directions. Not to mention opportunities to stack slows

Leech (Hive Sybioses is the best since your broodlings will heal u), Timesplitter, nitrogen, FoE, Ihan (which i usually sell), and 2 INT items depending on the heroes (if they go spell resist, Grav edge, else just max wepspeed with INT items)

thats my build, works charms.

My skill lay-out, maxing the passives early and just sniping the heroes (with lvl 3+ it will do 1 bar over 6 sec) and using the bounce for creep killing. My first item is usually leeching saber for the minerals since this is a high cost build.

The core of this build is that eventually u slow them massively with just 1 hit, procing all the slow effects and thus making it nearly impossible for a hero to run. Since it prods decently on the bounces u can use it in teamfights as well.

Nitrogen Retrofit is pretty good. 8 second slow for 25% in an AoE with good INT and health.

Yeah I was just thinking I should be getting Nitrogen on her and probably BHM or Stars since that ult is so spammable

Also nitrogen is only a 2 second slow unless I missed a HUGE patch

Love the leech idea and the double slow (quadruple technically bc of boomerang and timesplitter)

Will have to try that out for sure, wouldn't you do better getting weapon damage over INT for last 2 if you are trying to leech off broods? Or is the INT scaling better than the added dps weapon damage would provide?

EDIT: flob I DP'd instead of hitting edit

my build:

buckler....then the thing for 450 that leeches

then start building hammer

then if you are supporting partners you might go for nitro(nitro + hammer/foe=slow them into oblivion)

if there are too many tanky enemies get pyre....if you are getting spell nuked get organic...if you are getting some spell but not too hard to worry finish foe

if none of the above finish glutton bite then darwins

repeat the last step but if none of the alternatives is needed get explosive retrofit

then finish foe

reasoning: early on buckler is no brainer and you will need some leech after that to sustain laning while you get your skills and get tankier

then hammer gives all kerry needs....slow on attack, tankyness, and weapon damage via damage per se as well as str

darwins give lots of weapon damage and str, as well as leech

explosive retro gives damage, str, and spell damage as a means to bypass the armor..

imo kerry now is still dps but in a str based way...not an agi dps aa that is labeled as strenght char....now kerry actually beneffits much more from the items said...you dont need int to get broodlings since ult is cheap and E gets em for you for free....but to get weapon damage is sooo good since it gives you damage but the broodlings too...it is cool to build int kerry but i think the damage scaling is not worth it compared to strenght items that give you tankyness as well as damage

when I have desent team i get 7-2 12-4 consistently kind of kills as a carry on pubs....if i play premade the hammer, then nitro then foe is all i need to perma slow enemies for the team to rape....even ult can slow sooo far away is i chain it that enemies that otherwise wouldve escaped are slowed for the picking

with this build there are thing to worry as with any build...

since you are not going int build here your main source of damage is a slow but powerfull aa, and the floods of broodlings with your weapon aa scaling....that being said...if enemies have a steady source of aoe damage you lose lots of dps since your broods die...also tanky jackson with tscale or justicar will just poop on your damage...erekul too as ive found lately is a very dangerous character if finds you solo(in hands of a competent player)....he will murder broodlings while healing, laugh at your aa and his ult will make the life of your str items fade sooo fast...

being with a team is the way to go with kerry now....no more a click dps kill enemy team while they are on your ulti...no more bone armor to tank hits that would 3 shot you...now its a different kind of kerry but imo it shines better with teamwork than the old kerry...and diferent skill order depending on what you want

early harrasser: boomerang + E...getting this first and no W allows you to boomerang enemy to damage while slowing and attack em at least once to get the dot...you can keep attacking if enemy is alone, but otherwise you can retreat and repeat later as necesary...early on its really cool and very damabing vs melee heroes that have no real way to retaliate

all laner...W + E (if with a teammate 1 point in Q)...the glaive wurm spreads the effect of your E so the entire lane starts spawning broodlings...insta push CARE if facing queen on this one....one of the few heroes that can push you even if you get W and E...BOOM banelings...if you put that 1 point in Q then its for the slow effect....you wont be getting energy items but keeping the cost low makes it more spammable so when ganking time comes you can be of some use slowing enemies

Still like to rush Lethal + Ihan. Nitrogen is insanely useful now. And Darwin's is a must have. After that, there's a large variety of items you can go, but I won't list them all. FoE helps with a larger slow and some damage, and tankyness, CoA to speed up your broodlings - and combine this with a Hive Symbiosis to replace Darwin's if you get CoA, since the leech will be 20% more!- etc etc. Normally, it will be 1 dedicated weapon damage + tank, 1 INT + Weapon damage and 1 INT item.
