MuskieSlap
Last week my computer fried. It was 5 years old and was getting progressively slower when I played games. I ordered a new computer so should have it next week. It will be nice to play without any delay and have max settings. MuskieSlap

Geneon
Oh gosh how did it fry? I'm assuming it's a laptop based on its age and that you "ordered a new computer" but is it a laptop or desktop?
MuskieSlap
It was a MacBook Pro. I ordered a new laptop. MSI G Series GT70 0NE-452US.
Geneon
Ah I see. Yeah, the macbooks weren't really made for gaming specifically rather, for multiple applications running at once with the ability to reroute priority performance to desired programs at the expense of high performance based hardware. Or to give the best quality in your current desired program but have less of the high performance based tech. But the laptop may still be useful. Unless the mb and its fuses were shot to hell, the problems should be easily fixable to the point where you can use it for something else. Dunno if you want to put effort into that but at least you're fortunate to buy a new computer :) RIP MacBook pro :(
jamescossey
unless your traveling with ur laptop a desk top really is the best thing to get for gaming. my self i just bought the stuff for a new computer. I7 3.5ghz processor, ASUS P8H77-V mother board, and a solid state drive. now to get another $250 for my video card. though the intergrated video card is already better then the old dedicated video card in my old computer i almost dont need to buy a video card lol. EterNity
Don't get your hope up. You will still get delay due to other players. SC2 tries to sync everyone in game to same speed and see the same thing so you will still get lag. It may feels even worse because if you have a laggy computer before, you are used to the "game speed with lag" and never experienced the normal speed. Once you know what "normal" should be like, you will find almost every single game lags. Just sharing some of my personal experience.
