You want to select all the text in the "code" block and then click on the orange A with the Green, Red, Blue, and Yellow squares and set all the text colors to black.

Otherwise you'll have weird blue, green, orange, and red marks. Because, of course, the code block is designed for usage with things like Java and C++.

Put [HERO] at the very start of the topic if you are posting a hero suggestion. This is so that the people with little time won't try to review a whole hero because they thought it was something else.

Put [iTEM] if you're making an item suggestion.

Cronos' format: Less user-friendly, but looks nicer. It is still plug-and-play, though. No, I do not know why you need triple "/center" tags (you'll see), but it doesn't work otherwise.

Some other tips include:

 

- How do you want your hero to play? Do you want them to have an escape ability as well as an AoE attack and a passive as well as a single-target nuke spell; or do you want them to have a pull with some way of defending themselves?

 

- What kind of items would be good on the hero? What sort of talents? What sort of skill level is needed to utilize the hero's full potential?

 

-Try to visualize your hero in the game. What role would they take on? Not what role they're designed for, what role will they actually take?

 

-How variable can the hero play? Can a player play the hero many different ways (ala Boros) or only one way (ala Garamond)?

I guess I hit you with a too large, whole and heavy brick.

It's not your fault. I have too many projects and schoolwork to take care of, and I spend most of my time thinking of new heroes that everyone seem too OP. And I said to myself, why do I do this when it's giving me a huge amount of stress? And that's how I stopped.

 

I'm gonna keep improving my Mineral.Truelight and Chronos.Remesis which I'm gonna improve formatting, rework skills(if it works well with the hero) and if Eliwan tells me, skill screens which I'm gonna have a lot of fun!

You require the following:

A keyboard with a "Print Screen" button

Image Editing program

 

In Starcraft 2 go "Create A Game" and then type in "Cortex - Harrowing Arctic" in the search box. The map is by Trithidokas (don't know if that's spelled right), and screw around with it.

 

Some commands include @spawn [unit name] to spawn units, @Modelswap [model name] to swap models, and the most important one-- @attach KarassAttackMissile followed by @modelswap [model] to allow you to do some crazy things (like what I did with Fyzipzi having ArchonMerge models on each of the hands of the Presever).

And then you have "search" which allows you to look up everything-- from Behaviors (FungalGrowthRoot, these are buffs) to Effects (Psi-Storm, dot/spawn stuffs, varies highly) and Models (of units), as well as unit names and other cool things.

And if you want, there's even a @addweapon command that allows you to give weapons (e.g. so that your target unit emits a beam to the hero's hand, just make a @size 0.25 flier and have it be @height such that it lines up with the hand of your hero; and have that little flier have the DisruptionBeam weapon attacking your target).

 

And then when you have something you like, press that Print Screen button. It'll take a screen capture automatically to your Starcraft 2 folder; which you can then edit and modify from there to exclude the parts of the map that are extraneous; then upload it to PB and then you just paste it in. ;D

 

So it requires...

Psh, that's easy mode. Mineral is from SEA, and we do stuff the hard and manly way, using the Starcraft 2 editor and learning everything from scratch! We SEA players cry out in joy at the prospect of having to learn the editor for days before creating a simple custom unit.

 

Though, I will admit that's it's kinda sad that a custom map can create models more efficiently than the SC2 editor.

Cortex isn't uploaded in SEA? I'll go talk to Motive about that, maybe one of you would be willing to upload it. :\

 

 

And no it can't create models, you can only edit existing ones. I can make Erekul very easily, but Shadow is much harder as the Neural Parasite model is difficult to grab out.

And Boros is so easy. Modelswap in a FireMedium and scale it and it looks almost the same.

Hm, and Leo with Mirror Force active is easy to do... It appears to just be ArchonMergeStart.
