Allstar
It was a cold winter evening and I had just finished a paced run on the treadmill. I was expecting to have company in a few short hours so I took a quick shower and went to pick up the bottom dollar swill that the grocery store passed off as beer. I never knew that my life would take a serious turn on this day but I was ready. I walked in through the front door and took in my surroundings. There were many aisles... all of which had different labels. Bread, baby food, entertainment and finally... adult beverages. I was in a bit of a hurry so I headed straight to the familiar shelf where the ill-named beer was on display. I was walking quickly and felt the muscle aches from the workout but I accepted the pain with a grimace because I needed to prepare for my guests. That's when I first made eye contact. I felt like we shared a moment, a moment that lasted an eternity. I was intimidated at first and felt as though I had mistakenly stepped into quick drying cement. After a fleeting thought passed I knew in this moment that I could not let my nerves get the best of me. I was ready to take the risk and jump into something bigger than myself. I approached slowly but confidently and introduced myself to Glenmorangie. Oh sweet Glenmorangie... how very gentle. I can still smell, nay taste Glenmorangie as if it were only yesterday. Although our relationship was only 4 short weeks it was full of fire and intensity. During these weeks I experienced many new sensations, physically and emotionally. I was not sure at the time, but... could this be love? Our relationship was amazing and full of passion, excitement, and adventure. Unfortunately, they say nothing lasts forever and this statement rings true, even for my dear Glenmorangie. In the beginning the connection between us flowed like a gushing waterfall but after a while it faded and towards the end had no more energy than the last drop of a newly emptied bottle. I was forced to make the tough decision. I will forever hold a special place in my heart for Glenmorangie and will remember how I was shown the greatness I could achieve. All is not lost though as I have moved onto another sweet sensation, Glenlivet, and am quite happy with the decision. I must admit that with Glenmorangie the passion was overwhelming and everything was new and exciting, but Glenlivet has treated me well and I am given respect for my past experience. Glenlivet is opening up and showing me many new flavors as if Glenmorangie had taught Glenlivet all the things that I truly desire. It saddens me to know that history tends to repeat itself and I can already sense Glenlivet is fading. Whatever, I can't write like that anymore. Any scotch drinkers in the house? Allstar
Lol Hubert, I imagine it being like the movie Beerfest when one of the guys wakes up from a brutal night of drinking naked next to a dead zebra and he has blood all over his face. I've never tried Chivas Regal so I'll have to put that on my To-Do list. The only thing I don't like about whisky is that it gives me the worst hangovers! It is likely because I don't stop after only one glass. :\

Allstar
Aw, Jack is a good whiskey though Yaldi. It isn't a real whisky though. American whiskey's (spelt with an E) are a completely different drink. A fine whisky will never be mixed with cola, and will go down smooth. Jack to me requires Coke. I've just had too many better drinks to go back, :P. Soooo- My Glenlivet is almost gone. Any recommendations for my next? I am in England and Whisky is simple to come across but so far I'm not ready to buy top of the line. Not that money is a problem but I don't want to waste the beverage while still a beginner. Glenlivet is my second bottle afterall.
