CptSkippy
Ok so I was thinking it would be great and help the game expand if their was a custom game that helped the new people learn the game. Like in big words this is where you buy items, this is a tower don't run into it Eliwan
Legacy
So basically a tutorial... but nobody watches those anyways....
Legomancer
There is a forum called aeon of plagues or something. Check that out.
CptSkippy
Yeah like a tutorial idk how hard it would be to put bots in there to kind of give a more realistic feel but just thinking
Eliwan
Bots are impossible unless they don't use abilities; in which case you'd probably learn almost nothing. Or maybe Ekco could make a hero specifically designed to be the enemy in this special tutorial that's got easy logic paths for ability usage? :D But yes, this would be awesome =w=
CptSkippy
yeah idk just tossin ideas out there but man it'd be great cuz at least when people get in there they have a general idea of how the game is played mess around with items although i tell new people to create a custom game to kind of look items over and figure out the gamestyle
Qlx
I suggested the same quite a while ago :) Problems are people who either Skip the Tutorial or just ... don't get It and the Realisation, as It'd be hard to create a logic AI for the hero. Besides, I see so many *noobs* with 400+ Games a K/D of under 0,222 and almost only lost games. I can't really think of anything that could *fix* those. There is nothing to 'fix' here, let people play the game how ever they want. KD is irrelevant in this game, if somebody exclusively plays support heroes you would expect them to have a low KD, it means absolutely nothing. Tutorial would be useful but I don't think many players would be willing to play through it, maybe after they play a few pubs and realise how hard the game is then they might return to the tutorial :). Anything that helps & encourages new players is a good thing imo.
MAVERICK
I am kinda new, and I believe the most basic information you can learn quickly, from the game itself and forums. What I personally (and i believe many other people need as well) is a video/explanation/tutorial whatever you want to call it, to show and emphasize team work, team compositions and the basic general strategy for team engagement (high ground/low ground) narrow paths and so on. After one learns the heroes and skills, how do you improve and move on to the next level? After all this is a team game not solo....That would help a lot. Legacy
^^ and it should also say what the counters to specific roles are, and how a general team should be built.
