MAVERICK
Hi im Maverick, I have about 20 games completed in AoS so far and I love it. I am new to this game and would appreciate any advice, tips, tricks and constrictive criticism ( if you played with me and know what I did wrong) Psyght
Aellectris
Check out the Gaming School thread in Aeon of Storms Lobby to learn a lot about some of the different mechanics, etc. I don't play AoS that much anymore but I'm still totally willing to teach people. If you come find me on mumble at some point, let me know and I'll help out.
Doom
My advice is to practise a lot on rather sturdy heroes that don't punish getting out of position. That may mean lots of hp, or escape abilities or both. I'd say that currently the easiest hero in the game would be Ironhide.Cain simply because he deals strong damage with AA, and almost all item builds are good on him. Also, heroes like Shadow, Nova, and Voltron are quite easy to learn and master, seeing as there is no special tricks/ tactics that are needed to be learnt, and they can kill almost anything in a 1v1. Legacy
I found that playing harder chars first, like maar gave you an excuse for being bad :P. But an easy char would be Lz imo... he has escape, can have lots of hp, and tanks other dps fairly well.
Revolution
Get mumble and the mumble info.. go into a channel that has a bunch of players. Ask if anyone is willing to pub with you and help you out. Ask Whaletits.. he's one of the top players and I'm sure he would help you out. Lettow
Good call on joining the forums! As you can see there are tons of friendly awesome people who play AoS in NA. I'm also frequently around in the AoS channel / playing public games so maybe we'll run into each other. Â As far as who to play, don't worry about dying much at first. Just pick someone you like. No matter who you pick, you'll get used to them and find strategies that work for you if you play them a lot, look at guides and other people's builds, and just experiment. xNOVAxPRIMEx

MAVERICK
I played with u the otherday and you got something like 14-5 or something with rancor? im sure it was you. Yes, it was me. However, it was because mid ganked, my lane partner was good and my team was good and the guys on the other team were positioned poorly.. After you pull ahead by a big margine, the game becomes a lot easier. So most of these kills were in "garbage time" or not really my credit. I come from different RTS games so I know the basics, but to be good, which I would like to become some day, I need to actually learn the game. Â Btw, thank you all for the help, I'll put it to use as soon as I can.

MAVERICK
Hey thx a lot for all the help man! I can actually do the Drake pull like you now :-( (not 100% of the time but most of the time on a stationary target) I tried using ur basic build for Rancor a few times, and it did not work wonders for me. However, I did try rushing Crystal a few games and it worked much better for me. I decided hat I prefer to go full intl Rancor over AA Rancor. My problem now is finding games where it is 5v5. Most games when people die a few times they just DC and ruin the game (you remember our game 4v2... was pretty bad)
akanna
^^ That happens pretty often in pubs, esp later at night. My working theory is people can only stay up for so many games so they quit a lot more of the "bad" ones by whatever standards they have. I never really got it, its not that hard to come back from 10-15 kills down, and a few early game deaths don't mean jack later on. Â Sometimes It feels like the people you need to quit (0-10+ feeders) never leave, and the people who you really need are ones that always rage lol. But you will find plenty of good 5v5 games if you play a little earlier, or are patient. Â If you are looking for more serious games, I would suggest trying out the IH community once you learn most of the items and have a pretty good idea of how to play most of the heros. I am told they have a lot less ragers. (Have not IH'd myself due to crazy schedule, and wanting to just jump in and play when I get a chance)

MAVERICK
Amen to that :-) So far I'm trying out Boros as I think I have the basics figured out for Rancor. I will try Vorpal next and then move to Drake.
