Hugz
Hey, Just a thought here, But to me it seems that 90% of IH are played with the same heroes : and bans are like 90% the same (Tosh,Vorpal,Micro,Drake,Rory,Vergil,MK) And when the game then starts after picking u end up with 2 teams mixed with basicly the same heroes all the time, its ok no complaints there :) But what about a little twist to it ? After the usual 3 bans of each team Roll winner : 1 hero pick other : 2 Heroes Roll Winner : 2 Heroes Other : 2 Heroes Roll Winner : 1 Hero Now both teams have 4 heroes, Roll loser can now choose 1 hero for other team, and then Roll winner can choose 1 hero for opponents team. That way u can bring in some heroes in game that are rarely chosen and add a extra twist to the game. Its just a thought, but maybe some more will like this idea. Gz, Hugz ! Wrath
Without any judgements of the system you're suggesting, there is already a system used to avoid teams getting the same heroes, called draft. After taking turns to ban heroes, teams take turns to pick heroes. One team cannot pick a hero that another team already picked. The order is usually 1-2-2-2-2-1. Banzaiguy
Or they could start playing reverse draft. Same order as draft except the your picks are picking for the enemy team's heroes and bans are heroes they can't pick for you. Was actually a troll thing at first, but turns out it was quite good for forcing players to use different heroes. Team comps were always terrible though. Wrath
yea thats how IH plays atm. And it ends with same heroes playing all the time I dunno... We get a pretty good variety, I think. It would be more difficult for me to name a hero that doesn't get picked in in-houses. I guess a few would be Raynor, Unix, Kerrigan, and Shadow. WhaleTits
na does draft or random draft for variety (random draft is selecting a mutually exclusive pool of 10 random heroes for each team to work with)

Hogwarts
na does draft or random draft for variety (random draft is selecting a mutually exclusive pool of 10 random heroes for each team to work with) ITS QUITE FUN!! but we dont use it enough because we have to many tryhards who pretty much wont play unless they have that "perfect team comp" and dont wana leave it up to chance
Eliwan
Random Draft is where you take the 40 heroes and give each team a unique list of 10 heroes, right? Making sure I understood that correctly. V=

Making sure I understood that correctly. V= there is a website that organizes groups, of said list, we input 39 heroes and it makes 4 groups, 3 of 10 and 1 of 9 " ss is banned" then we take 2 of the 4 groups and use that as a hero pool, team 1 gets group a team 2 gets group b, and the teams can choose 5 of the 10 heroes to play, with this no single hero is played twice in the same game we have no ban phase, and we see some unique hero comps. its fun

Making sure I understood that correctly. V= If this is the same mode as Dota then random draft randomly selects something like 25% of the heroes (1/3rd of each attribute) and then you draft with this hero pool and without bans (ofc in aos you cannot remove this many heroes but you get the idea). The point is that it is a good alternative to drafting because it's much faster and it's still not all pick where you are going to see all the op heroes picked everytime.
