ryaubee
The new UI is horrible, and here's what they're doing wrong. I've been playing this game ever since it came out on SC2 (and before it was called Aeon of Storms). Every so often, they make a patch that completely ruins the game, and turns a lot of their fans off. (remember nearly a year ago when they had that big patch that made the map huge? They had to change the name of the game just to survive.) This patch is another of those times. The reason why I like this game is because it has the same interface of SC, which is a game I've played for a very long time, but still a moderately competitive MOBA game. This is a chance for the SC loving fans to get their shot of MOBA without having to get used to a whole new feel of a game. This patch stabbed us in the back. They're slowly draining AoS of it's SC blood, by butchering the user interface and changing the experiences the SC players have gotten used to. They need to realize that they're betraying the people that put them to where they are. When our heath bars are low there is a place we are used to looking at. Do you realize how hard it is so play a normal game of SC, then switch over to AoS and realizing that the entire user interface looks like a dyslexic's kid's foggy dream of a SC game? I know that not many people are going to read this. And that this comment wont be looked at by the people that matter. But I'm currently installing League on my computer for the first time, and shaking my head at the people responsible for deciding that AoS will only be a good game when they completely remove any aspect of the original SC game from the players' experience. Bring back the original interface. Keep everything how it was. Just balance where it needs balancing, and add a hero every now and then. I promise you, the game will go. Phyresis
Ummm... If your problem with AOS is that they changed the interface from the SC interface, why are you installing league and are gonna learn another interface? I am sure you type this just because you are new to this UI. Play 20-25 games and you will get used to it. The new UI is more "cool" in the eyes of new players, now they think that it is a well-made map.

Even though the motives for changing the UI were noble, they made a lot of newbie UI design mistakes I have tried to point out to them but instead are met with mockery. The funny thing is there are diehards to this game who are willing to put up with anything thrown at them and defend the game no matter what. I guess that is noble as well, but unfortunately the devs end up getting feedback in a bubble for the same reasons they get bad advice from time to time by only listening and acknowledging the inhausers. The problem with your arguments is you made no suggestions showing what you would prefer. Next time try a picture to show your ideas. A picture is worth a thousand words after all. You apparently missed the whole thread I posted about the subject titled: "If AoS Is Going To Go All The Way On Changing The UI" either that or else you are just making stuff up again to suit your needs. Apocalyptic
Everyone I've talked to in game (quite a few people) said they liked it better once they got used to it. Not sure what the big fuss is all about.

EterNity
Let's make more new threads about the UI and the old one is surely coming back in no time! Oh wait...
ChadRickVon
My only serious complaint is that it needs a group selection window of some sort. For several reasons, but most importantly for me, is that you cant tell how many mine are in your stack as Jakk anymore. Its really ruining his ult. Is there six there or eight? Too many times have I blasted someone down to almost nothing when i couldn't tell how much dmg was coming. Ironsights and akanna
