ShadowDancer
Why? Why? Why?
Ironsights
because the items that require carges require tehm to not be overpowered. If you allowed them to be affected by CD, then you could get infinite charges. Do you really want to see unix spamming infinite marines? How about a Marine.King that never runs short of Missles? Would be too imbalanced.
Doom
I thought that it's a bug, and that CDR DOES work while have two charges, on the third one, but not before that.
Eliwan
CDR does not work on abilities with charges already prepared. This is because if it does, then all charges can have their CD's tick simultaneously-- e.g. you're Rancor and drop 3 nukes, at 30:00, 30:02, and 30:04. At 30:20, you'll get a nuke. At 30:22, you'll get another nuke. At 30:24, you'll get another nuke... And this is without any actual CDR. For an in-game example; again with Rancor's nukes: You drop a nuke at 30:00, 30:02, and 30:04. You have, in terms of CDR, Prodigy and a Blue Gene [+22%]. Because your nukes started charging up at the 30:00 and it's 30:04; you have 16 seconds left on your cooldown. However, since you have no charges already prepared, your CDR will affect it-- reducing the time from 16 to ~13 seconds. However, once you get the first nuke, the next one has the fixed 20-second cooldown because you already have a nuke. lOvOl
Thanks Eliwan. So I guess a unix with a lot of cooldown items could spam a ton of marines quite fast so long as he makes sure he keeps spamming them 1 by 1 after he dumps the first 8. Hummmmm...... Midknight
In other words, only a single charge that displays the cooldown animation is affected by CDR. If you have at least one full charge, any further charges are handled by the game clock instead of your hero's personal clock. Hummmmm...... exactly opposite man. CDR -only- works when there are ZERO charges, after that the CD is fixed rate failed at reading comprehension. my apologies. Azrael
exactly opposite man. CDR -only- works when there are ZERO charges, after that the CD is fixed rate Is what he said:Unix cast IF 8 times, dumps all charges, cd reduction applies to the current cd (first one or charge 0) and he then uses it right away, so the next cd is also affected by cd reduction. Ironsights
ah i read it differently my apologies, I stand corrected
Spooky
Is there any idea behind why it working this way? Every charge should be affected by cd reduction. And not simultaneously, but one after another. Its hard to implement or what?
Adamantium
From my limited understanding of the editor, I think that is just the way it works. Of course I could be wrong.
Eliwan
Is there any idea behind why it working this way? Every charge should be affected by cd reduction. And not simultaneously, but one after another. Its hard to implement or what? afaik it was just that Ekcolnovkol decided to not mess with it just yet, and all the heroes with charge-based abilities [except for Molgloo and Vorpal] have had their CDs reduced to make up for this issue already. :P
