ShadowFlame
Alright, so my idea in this is that Darpa is too good at the beggining. I know that the cost of his spider got increased, but it wasnt that much, and the problem isnt only that 1 ability. His attack is too good at the beggining, imo. I'm not sure how to really fix this, but any ideas or thoughts you guys have would be nice. BTW I'm not complaining about Darpa lategame. He's easily countered by taser and/or shrapnel cloak, I know. residente
His farming potential is just auto attack, strong aoe spells in lane are an easy push against darpa, and longer range carries like vespus and nova also are a hard challenge for him imo, rancor and raynor can be also very painful for him

However, when he does, Darpa will have the advantage, as he can no longer be harassed by long range and he otherwise owns other weapon carries thanks to his heroic passive reducing their weapon damage by as much as 30%. Raynor and Rancor are certainly better counters if they ward properly. Darpa gets torn up by stuns and silences. Still, when he hits level 6 he can jump in and if he's using his abilities properly, grenade them for the kill.
Doom
CC is main counter to aa heroes. Darpa is no different. Also, remeber that unlike most, he hasn't got any AoE, or even AoE dissable.
pchacker
I find darpa more problematic during lategame, just because of his jump. But even then taser does the trick well, but the only thing that annoys me is team mates who after getting pwned by darpa and his jumping antics dont get taser, then cry op jump
Firnefex
You need to focus him quickly after he is tasered and disabled from Shrapnel Cloak! If you only use Taser, he just AA you to death... If you use Shrapnel, he jumps out and came back after 3 seconds to kill you...
Nuparu
Try a disabler like Raynor, Rancor, or Jackson and see how far he gets.
Itsthatguy
Darpa is super countered towards Stunners. So badly.
FruitNinja
People telling you to focus him have no idea what the OP is talking about. You don't have teamfights during the laning phase, let alone a taser. Obviously you should "focus" people with your partner, but if you're laning against two squishies (not uncommon) then either one will warrant focusing. Anyway, Derpa actually has a rather weak laning phase. He has a harassment tool, but to use it at its fullest potential he has to attack you three times, which means you should be able to attack him as well. Some things to remember when laning against him: -Start with the armor talent. Seriously, anyone that complains about AA heroes in the laning phase before getting this talent needs to go play hero attack instead. +8 armor means that heroes without damaging abilities will pretty much do scratch damage with their autoattacks, with the exception of Nova, who has a weak mid-game (from my experience at least). -Pushing your lane works pretty well against him as he has no easy farming method (unless he specs into demigod, reducing his mana sustain or durability). Make sure to ward to avoid ganks. -Derpa can't duel well without his ult since he is squishy and, at this point, has no escape. -Heroes with inbuilt debuff immunity completely ruin his only powerful harass. -He will try to towerdive you often if he is a pubstar (once he gets his ult). Retreat when you know he is going to, OR if you are a good bait hero (like Tass) you can try to get him to kill himself if he is also low. Make sure to cast your spells before he silences you. Yes but unless you focus on the mana talents, or buy a lot of pots and use it when trying to kill, mana will have some mana problems if he spam 2 much his skills, at lvl 7 he will have like 400 (not sure if more or less) and he will use 140 per mine and 60 per jump -Start with the armor talent. AdReNaLiNe
LZ is pretty brutal against darpa in early lane before he gets lvl 6 ring him and he is dead almost everytime...

Truefacts. I see this all the time and I tend to do it myself when I play DARPA. Make sure to avoid him though if he gets hand of mengsk second without a backup plan, a teammate, or a stun- he's going to dish out huge amounts of damage unless you can outrun him. Then, roll right back in and kill him after he uses it, provided he used jump.
