residente
Hello friends and foes of AoS, I would like to ask you something, I hope you can help me. Ok so I downloaded PlanetSide 2 a very nice MMO FPS game, on a massive scale, my computer is quite old and I'm flobed off because I can't play properly My computer is hp, model: s5340es His processor is Pentium® Dual-Core CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHz, with 4,00 RAM GB The graphic card is ATI Radeon HD 4350 What I want to ask is, what can I do, what can I buy to have a better game experience with this "old" computer, what kind of graphic card should I buy, what else should I get, maybe increase my RAM? Idk My economy is also poor so dont recommend me things that cost 1000 euros u.u, at least I would like to play with decent graphics and without "slow motion", I hate being a Sniper and can't snipe anyone because when I think they are standing still they just run and they are 100m farder. Sorry for bad grammar and thank you so much.
WhaleTits
probly not much. tech that old costs more then its worth it to upgrade. also ur psu is probably pretty limiting since its some pre-built poopbox

pchacker
I used to work at a computer repair shop so know a bit about hardware and stuff like that First could you get details of the power supply, like wattage, amperage on the 12v rail etc it should look similar to this If you could get these details it will help alot, because if your psu is shap, an upgrade may not be possible (as hp oem psus are usually custom and very hard to obtain) as the psu most likely will not be able to handle the upgrade, which means you get magic smoke pouring out of your pc when you turn it on. WhaleTits
anyways, i don't know if eu has different brands or stuff, but i've never heard of ace before, and psu is kinda one of the more important parts of the computer... good brands are antec, corsair, cooler master, and various other brands, but they tend to be pricier. apparently good cheap eu brands are raidmax and recom, but i personally don't know. the thing about cheap brands is that the psu often can't sustain the wattage they claim, and aren't efficient/stable
pchacker
im thinking on buy this 5 things for my pc, do you think its worse than buying a new one? http://www.amazon.co...8&condition=new http://www.amazon.co...8&condition=new http://www.amazon.co...8&condition=new http://www.amazon.co...8&condition=new http://www.amazon.co...8&condition=new The processor you chose will not fit into the motherboard you listed there I did a little bit a research and this set of components gives you a very good gaming pc for someone on a budget. CPU: http://www.amazon.co...54063650&sr=8-1 GPU: http://www.amazon.co...54063757&sr=1-5 Power supply: http://www.amazon.co...54063792&sr=1-1 Motherboard: http://www.amazon.co...54063836&sr=1-1 RAM: http://www.amazon.co...54063904&sr=1-6 All these add up to just over 300 pounds or euro or whatever the currency the amazon uk site uses is. You will have to get a new atx case as well, because your hp case will not fit the motherboard ( they are usually custom) Buying parts and building it yourself will save you money but if you dont know how to build it i would not recommend it. As it is your hp desktop cant really be upgraded.
