I've drawn this one out on paper. Maybe eventually I'll get around to scanning in the ability icons so you can see my failure drawing skills again.

Name: Void.Guardian

Portrait: Mothership

Unit Base: Mothership, dark-teal tint

Type: Ranged Caster.Mixed

Script: Void.Guardian was a dedicated defender of a shrine on Aiur, as a prototype mothership. However, after Aiur's conquering, the Guardian was altered, so it could channel the power of the void destructively. It was sent to many places to cleanse them of Zerg, and now fights in the Sanctum for that purpose.

 

Starting Stats:

Heroic Passive: Void Bubble

"Guardian and all heroic allies are granted a 31 [+8 * Lvl] [+60% INT] shield. This shield begins regeneration after being out-of-combat for 5 seconds, restoring to full strength over 10 seconds.

Whenever an ally is reduced below 50% Health, the shield instantly refreshes to full strength. This effect has an internal cooldown of 15 seconds.

Whenever Guardian casts a spell, all nearby allies have their shields increased by 15 [+4 * lvl] [+20% INT]. This effect has a cooldown of 8 seconds."

Range: Radius 10

 

Effect: Yay defensive passive that helps your allies even if you leave the game!

Also useful for out-of-nowhere shielding. This allows Guardian to passively support all allies [in fact, Guardian doesn't have a choice in the matter, the shields are granted just because Guardian exists].

Ability One: Splitter Ray

"Guardian fires a ray at the target unit, from each of its three exit ports, dealing damage and splitting off into 3 different, smaller rays, each dealing 25% of the original wave's base damage to any 3 units, except the original target, within 4 range of the original target."

Energy Cost: 80 + 20 per level

Cooldown: 17 seconds

Range: 6 to cast

 

Level 1: Deals 80 (+80% INT) Spell Damage base.

Level 2: Deals 120 (+80% INT) Spell Damage base.

Level 3: Deals 160 (+80% INT) Spell Damage base.

Level 4: Deals 200 (+80% INT) Spell Damage base.

 

Effect: A powerful laning ability, and very useful in team fights.

Damage to enemies via smaller ray: 20/30/40/50 [+20% INT] Spell Damage

Ability Two: Void's Beckoning

"Guardian creates a rift that pulls all enemies toward the center of it for 8 seconds. Additionally, the Rift summons an Archon that has 120 [+30 * Lvl] [+50% INT] Health that lasts for 40 seconds.

[Passive] Guardian heals health equal to 8/12/16/20% of his Spell Damage over 5 seconds."

Energy Cost: 125

Cooldown: 28 seconds

Range: 6 to cast, rift pulls at rate of 1/1.5/2/2.5 units per second.

 

Level 1: Archon deals 20 [+20% INT] damage per second. Rift pulls at a rate of 1 unit per second.

Level 2: Archon deals 30 [+20% INT] damage per second. Rift pulls at a rate of 1.5 units per second.

Level 3: Archon deals 40 [+20% INT] damage per second. Rift pulls at a rate of 2 units per second.

Level 4: Archon deals 50 [+20% INT] damage per second. Rift pulls at a rate of 2.5 units per second.

 

Effect: An incredible escape move, as well as being very utilitarian in possibilities. Also gives Guardian Spell Leech. ;D

Ability Three: Bounce Wave

"Guardian fires a large beam downwards, which bounces outward, dealing damage as well as slowing all hit units' attack and movespeed for 4 seconds. Cast time of 1 second."

Energy Cost: 85 + 20 per level

Cooldown: 25 seconds

Range: Radius of 6

 

Level 1: Deals 80 (+70% INT) damage, slows for 10%.

Level 2: Deals 120 (+70% INT) damage, slows for 15%.

Level 3: Deals 160 (+70% INT) damage, slows for 20%.

Level 4: Deals 200 (+70% INT) damage, slows for 25%.

 

Effect: A powerful area-of-effect damage spell, useful in both laning and escaping.

Ultimate Ability: Void Channel

"Void.Guardian connects fully to the Void, as well as the target enemy. First, this ability slows the target akin to the current level of Bounce Wave, pulls for 3 seconds at the rate of Void's Beckoning, then deals 40/60/80/100% of any single tick's damage at the end of the pull duration, dependant on level of Splitter Ray. All 3 effects always occur, even if the enemy leaves range. Maximum of 9 ticks."

Energy Cost: 150 + 80 per level

Cooldown: 90 seconds

Range: Cast range of 6, break range of 10

 

Level 1: Deals 80 (+80% INT) damage per tick. If no levels have been taken in Bounce Wave, slows by 6% for 3 seconds. If no levels have been taken in Void's Beckoning, pulls at 0.6 units per second. If no levels have been taken in Splitter Ray, bonus 'tick' deals 25% damage.

Level 2: Deals 120 (+80% INT) damage per tick. If no levels have been taken in Bounce Wave, slows by 9% for 3 seconds. If no levels have been taken in Void's Beckoning, pulls at 0.9 units per second. If no levels have been taken in Splitter Ray, bonus 'tick' deals 35% damage.

Level 3: Deals 160 (+80% INT) damage per tick. If no levels have been taken in Bounce Wave, slows by 12% for 3 seconds. If no levels have been taken in Void's Beckoning, pulls at 1.2 units per second. If no levels have been taken in Splitter Ray, bonus 'tick' deals 50% damage.

 

Effect: A powerful, incredible destruction skill, that is able to simply decimate any enemy late in the game.

Interesting hero. The Shields on heroic passive seem slightly over powered early game. (not really op late game except maybe on a Glass cannon.)

I like the pictures of the abilities too :D xD

I don't really understand his final tho.

Suggestion tho: Change the stats wording (like starting health ect.) from white to black so u dont have to highlight it xD

This hero seems like a close ranged caster like erekul and jackson. Haven't seen many of these types :P. Would be nice to have another especially since those primary INT heroes are rarely played (primarily rare in pubs at least).

meh.. was just a thought.

Ok, time to be constructive.

Can you clarify some of the abilities? How much weapon range/weapon speed would the archon have? Would the Guardian be able to move while using bounce wave?

Why make the ulti inescapable? it already has pull... seems a bit over-the-top, if it pulls it should be channeled like tass soul drain.

 

EDIT: never mind about the bounce wave. Bounce wave and Split ray seem virtually identical to me though.

I don't know about Archon's Weapon Range; but W.Spd would be 1. I said per second.

The ulti isn't inescapable, it just always has an aspect of damage [if you escape it instantly it deals 320 [+160% INT] damage at lv 18]. It also pulls and slows.

And ofc it is channeled. XD

Also, the pull only lasts for 3 seconds. P=

 

Bounce Wave is an AoE centered on Guardian, Splitter Ray fires an enemy which then hits 3 other enemies nearby the target.
