Plagued.Wanderer

 

 

Unit base: Infested Civilian

 

Role: Melee Pusher/Semi-Carry

 

Lore: During the Zerg invasion of Earth, Mayor Adam West was captured by Kerrigan and used as a test subject for a newly evolved plague virus that the Overmind created. After months of slowly injecting more and more of the virus into Adam West's blood stream, he emerged from his cocoon as the Plaguebringer. He became the Zerg's secret weapon apart from Kerrigan. Soon after the Overmind's downfall he broke free of Kerrigan's control. Once his mind was no longer enslaved Adam West retained some of his humanity. Often seen roaming the galaxy he became known as the Plagued Wanderer. Only Kerrigan knows his full potential and while she battles in the Imperial Sanctum she prays that he will never wander into the Sanctum himself, knowing full well that he commands billions of broodlings to do his bidding.

Abilities:

 

Heroic Passive: Self Sacrifice

 

The Wanderer remembers the selflessness of self sacrifice. When dealt a fatal blow The Wanderer implodes dealing 100 + 15( hero level) in spell damage within a 4 unit radius.

 

 

Ability One: Inject Broodlings

 

The Wanderer injects his target with broodling larva. If the target is killed within 2 seconds 1/2/3/3 broodlings will be spawned. When his broodlings kill a target they spawn 1 broodling.

 

Range: 7

Mana cost: 80/120/160/200

Damage: 75/150/225/300 + (75% INT). Spell damage. Single Target.

Cooldown: 12 seconds

 

 

Ability Two: Cloaking Field

 

The Wanderer found some cloaking towers while rummaging through an abandoned terran special ops base.

 

Cast Range: 2

Cloak Radius from tower: 7

Maximum Towers: 2/3/4/5

Bonus Move Speed: 15% / 20% / 25% / 30%

Cooldown: 30 seconds

Mana cost: 50 all levels

 

 

Ability Three: Plagued Touch

 

The Wanderer injects a small amount of his virus into his target with each basic attack.

 

Slow: 10% / 20% / 30% / 40% (Attack and movement speed)

Slow Duration: 2 seconds

 

 

Ability Four: Frenzy

 

The Wanderer unleashes his enhanced primal instincts giving him bonus damage and lifesteal on attack.

 

Bonus Damage: 60/80/100

Lifesteal: 25% / 45% / 65%

Duration 10 seconds

Cooldown: 100/85/70 seconds

Mana cost: 100 at all levels

Notes:

 

- Broodlings have 80 + 10(level) and deal 20(15% INT) physical damage. On death they give a slight amount of XP and 5 minerals. They also have 25% damage resist.

 

- The Wanderers cloaking towers only cloak him and his broodlings. From revealing himself into cloaking again is a 2 second fade time. The towers only grant 3 units of vision.

 

- The Wanderer is an extremely effective solo long lane hero. Able to survive with his cloak and push with his broodlings.

 

- Without any form of aoe The wanderer will push your lane with ease. This is his job. Playing vs him with aoe will cause you to get more xp and gold for killing his broodlings.

 

- Scans are essential to laning against him. Due to the comfort of being cloaked he will most likely be over extended every time you scan so make sure there is a gank incoming.

 

- This is an attempt at creating Broodmother from Dota 2. She is an extremely fun hero to play and quite powerful if played correctly. Hopefully the skill set will be able to be done in galaxy editor because I think many players will find this hero extraordinary.

I originally wanted a vulture, but i couldn't think of a name :/ and instead of broodlings it was going to be spider mines. I also realized a vulture being melee? Thats dumb.

 

And i would have chosen the lurker, but an infested civilian fits his lore much better and it explains why he uses cloaking towers (a terran building).
