Vergil?

I find myself drawn to play vergil, but the problem is I have no idea how to use him.

So, hopefully after this thread, not only I but maybe you could learn something yourself.

 

I just dont know what items to use on him.

 

I've noticed that revolver seems to be a good pickup on him but i dunno.

 

whats better int? or agility?

Stop ur new userNess!!

 

Warp allow you to do double instant blink, that's like 17ranges of blinks!!

Upgrade it to larger warp, provides you group stun too.

Don't listen to Bin, he is telling you a terrible build cause he thinks it funny to mislead new players who don't know any better. He also breaks several forum rules virtually every time he posts.

 

Try out the int build that Eternity and Adversary mentioned.

you realise bin's build is pretty much the correct int build

while you're playing in the game you should also get energy pots since vergil will run out of energy pretty quick if you spam his Q. Also probably doesn't hurt to run energize on him either.

Lockbox, Taser, Yamato Reactor, Nitrogen Retrofit, Sunflare Gun, Argus Crystal, Gravity Edge, Symphonic Seed, Kinetic Battery

 

Some good items.

 

Kinetic Battery is good because it solves your energy problem [Vergil has one]. Other than that item, just build INT/Spell Damage. Yamato Reactor + Argus Crystal is really powerful especially since Vergil lays down all his hurt rapidly.

 

ON THE OTHER HAND, you actually want to NOT smash your hurt down rapidly since you have to make good use of your W weapon damage reduction-- so you should just use your Q every few seconds on the enemies so that you support your team by cutting enemy auto-attacks.

Personally, i go for aa vergil build. Since he's invincible during his E (the blink), he is able to do some massive damage in the small time you have when you're invincible.

 

I believe that going 5 masamunes to maximise damage output and then warpshard to blink away (you've already used your e for invincibility)

Of all the heroes in the game, I think his best build requires the most complicated build and why you get each item requires some explanation because at face value they don't seem to synergize very well.

 

(1) Superheated Mantle - Get this first as it will help increase the efficiency of your farm dramatically. Just go into a creep wave, wear them down a little bit, then cast a few Q's to get all the minerals. Also saves you a lot of mana when farming as you don't need to spam a bunch of Q's to farm neutral creeps fast.

 

(2) Ihan Crystal - Better to get this sooner than later. Sell it whenever you want after 10 minutes and keep the 60 int and 350 health.

 

(3) Nitrogen Refit - Slow aura plus his blink means nothing gets away from him.

 

(4) Organic Carapace - At this stage of the game you are starting to pack on the health and any other passive regen items like a sustainer or lost treasure just are not going to regenerate you fast enough to make up for all the damage you will be taking. Also the 1100 health matters a lot with the other items he gets.

 

(5) Barbed Plating - You will have a lot of health and due to being an agility hero as well you have solid base armor which means anyone attacking you with physical damage will likely hurt themselves more than they hurt you with their physical damage (not including spell damage from items like pyre or crit damage).

 

(6) Black Hole Magnum - Typically you would not get this item unless your hero is stacking plenty of damage items, but because Vergil's skills proc naturally and often with this item it is a good item to get on him.

 

(7) Isomorphic Pyre - Late game some tank heroes just can't be killed unless you have one.

 

Consider replacing black hole magnum with shrink ray if the enemy team is very AA hero heavy as shrink ray plus his weapon damage debuff makes Kerrigan players cry "not fair".

 

 

Remember Vergil is kind of a weird hero that can do a ton of things well so a complex build works best on him I feel because if you can do everything well then you are by definition an OP hero (which he is). Most people use bad builds on him (straight int) and as a result they just don't dominate as hard as they could.

are you serious, sarcastic or just stupid? your e for invincibility? it only gives 100 evasion, do you know that spells exist? 5 masamunes to "maximise" damage output? and what happen with your attack speed, and with the armor and leech of your enemies

it order not to break forum rule, i would have to add on something more constructive on this reply..

 

so here is another dps carry build for vergil

 

 

STAR FURY( this one is for obvious reason, INT,AGI,30%!WEAPON SPEED,CDR,just everything that you need,pro you Q too,3times, well still personally, i feel like BHM is better lategame)

NITRON(slows with your Q ulti , and proc you SHM,FOR FOREVER SLOW)

 

SHM (for obvious reason,COME ON PPL START TO ABUSE IT(>___<), B4 IT GETS FIXED THIS INCOMING PATCH)

 

shadowmour(obviously anti-DPS,you want to have in ur hands, then your shadow can rape shadow)

 

PYRE(for melting tanks like micro,drake, tychus, without it, those heroes would never know whats word called:"PAIN".especially they are wearing organic caparce, WTF! everything is tingling!)

 

 

those 5 are you core items,so you would very much to get them, in which order,depending on the situation,

lets say enemy team has more tanks, then you get pyre first,

enemy team has more AGI dps, then you get shadowmour

if you focus on farming first, get SHM.. you can buy its component the 800$ SUNGLASSES first for additional $5 income every few secs.

 

 

 

there are some situational items, you might wanna consider..

 

shrink gun,(obviously INT buff ur skill damage,weapon speed: so you hit faster,more importantly-30%damage reduction+ur passive=80% damage reduction.flob NOVA,flob SHADOW,flob EVERYTHING)

 

taser( for flobing bursty heroes,[i dont recommend you get it, waste ur slots, cant max your optimal dps potential, ask your teammates get it for you,BTW ask them get SPELL BUFFER, COA for you too,hahahaha, because you are real carry :)

 

of cause, you need leech items, like dawin(the reason i dont need to explain la~~)

however, i have seen some NA pro using another item (GALACTIC defender) GRANTS YOU INSTANT 1000 SHIELD.personally i feel that one is better than darwin tho, [dawin can be countered by exes,dawin leech way less than b4 now, you cant instant heal up youself now,it may takes about 2-4sec to heal you self up.IN many situation,you were get killed by burst damage, b4 you pressed F for VITALISE,and leech them off, where as GALACTIC grants you instant shield 1000, so can be use as surprise for you enermy) therefore, you can choose [darwin] or either [galactic defender] as your surviability sustain item. depends on your playing style.

 

if you wanna use yamato thats fine too.

it gives you%25 bonus spell damage, so your ulti does more damage in group teamfight.. also you run %25 faster, good for you chasing or running away.

 

oh i forgot to mention the kynetic energy thing,

this item is actually depends on your talent tree

if you have ENERGISE instead of PROTECT, then its up to you if you want to get it for early game,BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE TO SELL IT EVENTUALLY LATEGAME FOR ITEMS I MENTION ABOVE,

but kinetic batteries grants you the AGI,which just what you need for DPS BUILD VERGIL, also constantly gives you the mana,so its beneficial tho, but still i dont recommend you to get it. rather spend those money for something gives you weapon speed and damage.

 

oh! again i forgot to mention about a troll item, but also its OP item on vergil, THE ILLUSION SWARD thing(5000$thing), hold that thing on your hand, so your SHM proc larger area,along with your passive weapon reduction,as well as nitrogen AOE slow,great for teamgank. IN 1VS1 situaton, illusion would help you deal hell lot of damage too. its guarantee win with that thing.but you need to watch out a b1tch called"kerrigan" shes ur illusion counter, but since she has slower farming curve and mobility than you early game, harass her if you want, she cant kill you anyway..
