Well, I make this topic because I want people playing the beta to post the new talents, so players that can't play the beta can know what's going on. (I will personally beta test as soon as I can go SC again)

 

 

Hydra told me that Vita and Protect are completely changed, and the new utility active talent "Teleport". It could be nice guys if you can provide the rest of the player some information of the new changes :)

Its currently on a 5min cooldown. Here are my comments from another thread

 

I beta tested last night. Transporters removed but you can warp back to pool anytime (as in LOL). Also, the talents have been completely reworked. THe highest tier utility talent provides you a teleport to any allied structures, although it is currently on a 5 minute cooldown. Ekco mentioned that he removed transporters in part because the map is more similar to LOLs (smaller in size). I personally hate the change, as it makes the game less involved, less strategic, and further lowers the skill cap (-.-).

 

We will see where everything ends up though...the changes are still beta. The teleport talent was initially set at a 3 minute cooldown, but was changed to 5 because we told ekco it would be too important relative to its counterparts. 3 minutes felt...mmmmm.....okayish as far as retaining the ability to teleport strategically for ganks and so forth. The situation is sort of lose-lose for those who dislike the removal of transporters, as ekco is somewhat obligated to balance the talents such that teleport is not the overwhelming obvious choice.

 

 

edit: a few more comments

 

1. without a reliable teleport, it seems certain heroes will gain an indirect buff...namely those with good sustain (egon, tychus, bio etc.)

2. The jury is still out on how this will affect backdooring. To be honest, i think it might make it harder, at least when it comes to pushing into the base as everyone has a built in teleport home. Pushing, especially split pushing, should be super strong until the same point.

For the first time I agree with Peas, I don't like the transporter removing, in DotA for excample teleport has a 65 second cooldown, but at least they can teleport. I don't play LoL but I look a lot of games on youtube, and I dont like the idea of a free teleport to base, but you cant teleport to a tower to prevent a push or a gank

A 5 minute cd is way too high. they already removed star trecks. don't make the game even slower! make the talent cd like 2 minutes, this would make it way more useful.

 

Nevertheless, i don't understand why the teleporter mechanic was changed anyway. it worked how it should. there are many other things that need to be fixed before reworking good stuff. what about whaletits' list of bugs? what about the character balance, i think there could still be some small changes, i think about bio/null for example.

we are currently playing inh in EU with 6 autobans (null, egon, bio, SS, MK, Tychus) and at least 2 global bans for each team, that makes 10 bans for 1 game. fix these issues before reworking the teleporter.

I posted the talents already btw.

 

For those of you who haven't gotten a chance to hop on, the last beta I played involved these talents.

 

Tier 1 talents require no points in the respective tree

Tier 2 talents require 2 points in the respective tree

Tier 3 talents require 3 points in the respective tree

Offense

Tier 1 Might + 15 Weapon Damage

Tier 1 Cunning + 5% Spell Damage

Tier 1 BloodThirst + 13% Lifesteal

Tier 1 Fury +15% Weapon Speed

Tier 2 Demigod After a kill, your next attack does and additional 50% of your weapon damage as spell damage

Tier 2 Veteran Start the game with +1.5 level

Tier 3 Haste +50% Movement and Weapon Speed for 6 seconds. 3 minute cooldown

 

Defense

Tier 1 Fitness +120 Health (might be a little more)

Tier 1 Disciple + 7% Spell Resist

Tier 1 Vigor + 2 HP regen

Tier 1 Integrity + 14 armor

Tier 2 Zeal When you have more than 70% of your maximum health, you gain +13% Movement Speed

Tier 2 Undying Respawn time reduced by 25%

Tier 3 Fortify +50% Spell and Physical Resist for 6 seconds. 3 minute Cooldown

 

Utility

Tier 1 Prodigy +12% cooldown reduction

Tier 1 Brilliance + 1.2 Energy Regen

Tier 1 Swiftness + 7% movement speed

Tier 1 Youth + 200 Energy

Tier 2 Overlord Non-heroic allied units within 8 unit radius will gain +20% spell and physical resist

Tier 2 Wealth Begin game with +150 minerals

Tier 3 Transport Teleport to any ally. 5 minute cooldown

 

 

 

What if recall became teleport and had a 2 minute cooldown and cost 50 mana or so? It reduces the ability to be able to just jump around the map, but still allows you to port somewhere in case of an emergency.

This. Then you have to manage your teleport use. You could use it to teleport back to base but then the opponents could take a tower before you got back.

you realize teleport is strong because you can teleport to any ally. not just a tower/building. any lane creep, or any hero.

 

making it a 2 minute cooldown would be absurd. then making it free on every hero would make it even MORE absurd. every gank would errupt into a 5v5 teamfight.

 

and last i checked, you can teleport to radar towers too!
