RaKuRa
Garamond's auto-attack is supposed to scale with Cooldown Reduction (old Timescale), after the recent adjustment to TimeScale/Cooldown Reduction, Gara's auto-attacks stay flat regardless of Cooldown REduction values. I have been told that it is actually hard to fix. So I propose a potentially simpler "fix". Make his AA decrease with levels. For example his 6,11,16 Ulti gives him CD reduction ... make his attack rate also decrease in the same proportions. Of course items are still not going to affect AA but at least his passive will (partial solution.) (For CD items, I am not familiar with the SC2 editor, but is it hard to program something like ... if you have "Item A - X% CD" decrease Gara's AA with X%; if you have "Item B - Y% CD" decrease Gara's AA with Y". You pretty much have to hard code all the if scenarios based on all the CD items in AoS.)
BlackBarron
Wouldn't this belong in character balance section rather then suggestions?
Ironsights
hmmm. i think its in the right spot, since its a suggestion to fix a known bug, not a balance issue. And I kind of like the fix.
RaKuRa
@BlackBarron Well it is a bug-related suggestion ... so it should belong in the Bug section or in the Suggestion section... Since it is well known "bug" I felt it should not belong there and is more focused on the "suggestion" to fix it. It has nothing to do with Balance so I do not think it should be in the Balance section. [ultimately Banzai will decide I guess]

I have been told that it is actually hard to fix<== NOT TRUE, his passive scales his attack speed(the rate at which he throws scvs) with "old timescale" So I propose a potentially simpler "fix". Make his AA decrease with levels. For example his 6,11,16 Ulti gives him CD reduction ... make his attack rate also decrease in the same proportions. Of course items are still not going to affect AA but at least his passive will (partial solution.) <== How is this a fix?!? why decrease attack speed even further? (For CD items, I am not familiar with the SC2 editor, but is it hard to program something like ... if you have "Item A - X% CD" decrease Gara's AA with X%; if you have "Item B - Y% CD" decrease Gara's AA with Y". Um....dude...your suggestion seems like a massive nerf on a character who is already seriously hurting because his passive is broken.... You are right about one thing, garamonds AA does need fixing, because his attack rate (not AA) is supposed to scale with "old timescale" which no longer exists...and thus a change is needed to make his attack speed scale with Cooldown Reduction instead... but what this means is that at the moment, GARA has NO way to increase his attack speed (the rate at which he throws scvs) Which is a serious handicap for him... why on earth would you want to gimp his AA even further? thats the exact opposite of fixing the problem
RaKuRa
When I say attack rate decrease I mean the time between attacks decrease.... meaning AAing faster...
akanna
When I say attack rate decrease I mean the time between attacks decrease.... meaning AAing faster... ahh, well now I feel like an ass.... if it scaled as he leveled that would help fix things a bit gara is one of my fav chars to play good idea to offset his problems really hoping he gets fixed soon :)
Aellectris
His ult presently gives old timescale, meaning that it will increase his attack speed. Same with templar's resolve. Also, his weapon damage is reduced to 0.5 whenever he has damage reduction placed on him (e.g. vergil/erekul).
jamescossey
u would be very surpised on where u can get time/timescale, under offensive u got 3% and 6%, under defense, 15%(when taking damage), utility 5%. my build for him is some in offensive and then utility, total of 8% time starting off, then u kill a neutral tank in game 25% time, very easy to keep that buff up about 50% of the game. yamato reactor use 25% time, the upgraded warpshard 6% time. masumane or how ever u spell it 15% time. then of couse his ulti(passive 25% time max lvl). now with the build i do, which includes the yamato, (upgraded warpshard) and masumane, and getting tank buff, he makes a new svc at about ever 0.35 seconds. i also grab khali blade and cerebro. end build svc are critting for abotu 500 damage. giving if they are not killing off my svc i have 10 up at any given time, 5000k damage every second, his AA build is just fine. even if u dont go for crit or get masumane, but do get the other items and buffs, the svc's damage is nice. no change is needed. with the old items i could only get his svc to hit for 220 damage and make a new svc every 0.40 sec. though i never did try seeing if his svc could crit before. as well as now the initial hit from the svc proc items as well as leech. the amount of damge does not include levi buff or the damage rune.
