Major vs Mother is a myth.

I wanna use this chance to address the rumors and silly outlook that I am adversary to Mother. In no way am I against him, and as a person I like and respect his character and work.

The issue I have is not a personal one, it is a fundamental outlook on AoS and balance and I'm gonna use my fav mid matchup as a representation of the differing balance philosophy.

Queen is a powerful mid mage, that can push and take bosses at lvl 6 with little sacrifice.

The baneling dmg is massive, and the blue gene rush that is so common now makes the dmg consistent and team fight breaking.  Also Timmy is an absolute freight train, and if left unattended it will leave towers in shambles and fighting each team fight as a 6v5 can be soul crushing.

Chuck T. Bone is a bruiser/tank support that in the past was one of the best position 1 mid mages, also just a riot to play and offered an excellent balance of skill play and powerful spells. But running Cow mid comes at the cost of low AA and E dmg, low W dmg, for a sacrifice for 2 power spells that are just awesome in team fight, and check Queen in excellent ways.  But in no way do I think he should have been reduced to this extent, allowing queen to free roll many games with far lass counter play.

I understand that having hybrid heroes is not a great design goal, and not what mother prefers, as he likes champ design to be more linear and intended, and having a kind of identity crisis like on cow can be confusing and leads to a hero like Cow being good at several things, but not great at anything.

So I ask you all, which hero should be rewarded, the skillful Cow that has to be built one way or the other, and can do one thing or the other but not both at once.

Or Timmy. The Demon of AoS.

My solution is thus,

Either give Cow back his Echo dmg on his E (with a reduction to the dmg offered by the blue gene) so he may return to the meta as a solid check for Queen mid, and so Timmy doesn't just train smash his way to a tower win, even if team Cow outplays team Queen. I feel that cutting Chucks balls off and stapling them to his blue gene is not a good solution.  To all of you that think Cow would be broken with his echo damage, I do't think you see the massive power creep of new champs, Chuck could wield his echo dmg again on his base kit without breaking the Game I assure you all.

Or make Cow a 100% STR based bruiser/tank/support and end the identity crisis he suffers from, allowing his roll to be less confused. (But not really solving the issue that is the Timmy free roll mid, but at least it would put a bullet in this debate.)

But everyone please stop looking to me as an enemy of Mother, I am not, I simply love this game and have played it on and off since its inception and wish to see it thrive and succeed. And I only want to play cap. pick games and be respected as a player that has skill and offers his team some old school hero Pizzazz.

Post your Team Queen vs Team Cow opinions here pleases, I would love too hear them.

End the feud, spread beef and love, not hate and suspicion.

GGs and Love you all.

Major, the strife you have vs. Mother vis-à-vis hero changes is one I share. But my struggle is instead for my beloved INT Grunty. As I mentioned elsewhere, it makes sense from an etymological point-of-view that Grunty's rockets scale with INT. He's clearly a rocket scientist!

Nobody cares, and a more complex hero shouldn't be "stronger" by some arbitrary metric, and certainly not to balance out the skill-requirement.

There are different heroes fulfilling different functions. Cow and Queen are wildly different in the benefits they bring their team, and cannot be compared. It seems akin to comparing Unix and Psionic, or Tosh and Toxi. Just because a hero requires more of its player, it shouldn't automatically win or "be rewarded". Good play is rewarded every game, be it with isolated kills, towers, bosses or indeed a win.

I miss the time with cow could oneshot several heroes at once, too. That was fun. AoS has transitioned into a different game, since then.

The good old drop a toilet and literally shap on them strategy. Classic.
