The real problem with late game shadow

It defeats the purpose of his ult if a $600 item can just counter him completely.

 

Shadow's main issue is spit pushing and since there is no TP in this game, it is nearly impossible to counter.

 

Especially at late game, where you have to send 2 teammate to kill Shadow since he is a carry. You will be leave with 4vs3 on the team fight.

 

If you do not send 2 people to kill Shadow, you will probably lose the tower or that 1 player you sent to save the tower.

 

In other word, you should just ban Shadow during drafts if your draft does not contain any hero that can prevent the push or face him alone.

wth? you guys dont want the game to reach late game and still complaing since early game pushes, but you think a dps is op? you guys banned pushers so it wont end fast or in a stupid way or advantage

 

Pusher is banned simply because our developers refused to add TP back to the game.

 

Pusher was never a problem before TP was removed.

I believe the problem with Shadow's ult is that the vision reduction is too much. As it stands it basically gives his team free rain over the enemy for how long? 6-8 seconds? The stats it gives him make it feel like an ult for him, but I believe that even if you were to lower those stats, the vision reduction would pour teamfights into Shadow's favor most of the time.

 

A couple of possible fixes come to mind:

1. Lower the vision reduction to 6 from 9

2. Reduce the AoE from the ENTIRE screen to something people can actually get out of, like 6 units.

3. Reduce the duration of the vision reduction from whatever it is (6-8seconds I think). To like 3-4 seconds.

 

I'd like to see any ONE of these changes made and tested to see how they impact shadow's gameplay.

 

 

Also pushers aren't really considered a problem anymore as far as I can tell. And people usually get split push because they have no wards to see shadow going for the tower so they are grouped as five getting absolutely nothing done while the team of 4 easily defends their tower while shadow pushes a wave. I think penthos is on this same level of split pushing and is one of the few heroes that can 1v1 shadow. Maybe we need some more 1v1 heroes too.

sight reduction is not the only thing that his ult do..

also it's the only thing that makes him op imo

so as maar Q

i just think TS elixir should contain what boundary scanner do..

or make a higher tier version of boundary scanner that doesnt require item slot like TS elixir

Alternatively... you could just change the blind to a team cloak? That way scans still work on it but TS elixers can as well.

You just need to learn how to deal with splitpush-> control map-> lanes better/push lanes. Better rotations/decisions lategame.

 

Only problem that can be is that tp to base is kinda long in this game (decreasing tp time would also make harder to punish-kill splitpushing heroes). But it still shouldnt be a problem if lanes are properly pushed and controlled.

 

 

 

I agree that banning pushing heroes can lead to issues like that. Because then its often hard to punish/counter lategame strats and finish game earlier, where in lategame any splitpushing heroes in moba can shine, are viable and strong.

 

Main objective of game is taking throne and splitpushing is one of ways of doing that. When going lategame vs heroes like shadow/maar etc etc its mandatory to always have in mind that. If you don't have counters you gonna lose.

 

 

If team doesn't have map control (and cannot obtain it) it means often that they don't have advantage, no matter if score is for example 39-32 and they are 5k ahead.

I agree it's not the pushing. As mentioned above you end up in a teamfight 5v5 with your team sight=0. So it's not just shadow raping but the entire 5 man team on the other side.

I'm so tired of Shadow ruining 50% of public games, it's really ruining the meta right now. I played maybe 60 games this weekend, and 30 were single-handedly decided by subpar Shadow players (both for and against me).

 

I don't like it when I win that way.

 

I don't like it when I lose that way.

 

I don't like playing with this predictable end game of no return.

If you wish to beat mediocre shadows, play cyprus. 9/10 the shadow will build full squish and you instantly kill him with your full combo, ezpz.

You can't count on team play in pubs.

Can't balance a team game without including team play when you balance a hero. :P
