Beta Testing This Weekend!

These changes are being tested and do not represent live patch notes.

 

Terrain

- Terrain textures have been cleaned up for better visibility.

- Doodad count reduced by ~20%.

- Lighting added to improve visibility of certain areas. The tones are much crisper than before.

- Next iteration should optimize textures for players on low texture settings.

- Slightly modified a few LOS blockers to clarify usage and scope of vision.

 

Gameplay

- You can no longer see into Aeon / Levi from outside the "Combat Zone".

- You can no longer attack Aeon / Levi from outside the "Combat Zone".

- Last two towers have been replaced. The Artifact Temple now acts as the final tower, and stops attacking after taking sufficient damage. This frees up space near the temple, and makes combat less clustered near where the towers were located.

- Eggs/Pylons now grant 150 minerals, up from 50.

- Eggs/Pylons now have 1000 Health, up from 600.

- Eggs/Pylons have been re-positioned further into the base behind the towers.

- The 2 Eggs/Pylons located near the edge of the base have been removed.

 

Barracks

- Barracks now respawn 6 minutes after they are destroyed.

- If one barrack is destroyed, the other becomes invulnerable until it respawns.

- Destroying a barrack now grants your entire team +50 Minerals.

- Barracks are being tested with a number of effects. Choosing which barrack to destroy will determine the purpose of hitting the enemy base:

Case 1: Melee Barracks grant bonus Health to your forces in that lane. Ranged Barracks grant bonus Movement Speed and Weapon Speed to forces in that lane.

Case 2: Melee Barracks spawn durable units (Archon/Ultralisk) that absorb a large amount of damage. Income Barracks grant your team an additional +150 Minerals.

 

 

 

To be tested at a later date:

- Rune Creep / Boss interactions.

- NC / Boss item drop systems.

- Slayers.Boxer (Siege Tank)

- Ariel.Hanson (Medic)

- Executor.Artanis (Mothership?)

Why does Quistmann get his heros in (semi) D:

Must be good suggestions then o.o (Hope the ariel hanson is similar, i like the one quistmann made)

Does this mean no more Levi stealing? Or does stuff like Grunty rocket still work?

As of today(meaning that it is very likely subject to change) u can hurt levi/aeon from anywhere but u cant get vision from the high ground behind levi/aeon. so u need to have either a hero down in the danger zone or a ward to attack from the high ground

Does this mean won't be more dark zones with no sense where you can't cast spell even in rage of it?

As of today(meaning that it is very likely subject to change) u can hurt levi/aeon from anywhere but u cant get vision from the high ground behind levi/aeon. so u need to have either a hero down in the danger zone or a ward to attack from the high ground

Still gives maar a nice advantage vs levi early game. Since his orbs travel slightly farther[and gives vision]. Still gives the other team an advantage depending wat hero you have. (I.E. Raynor's deathmark, Maar's Heatwave, rancor's scan, even darpa's spider mine that reveals.)

grunty still works so does snipe i believe i stole levi yesterday with a cow toilet in a beta game also

Could drop item ( jungle) used by D button and replace recall wth other command like H,J, K,L or anything?

 

it would add a dynamic and hyper innovating content.

 

Stun- Slow- Blink- Buff Debuff- Resist- Armor whatever could be nice.

So just throwing it out there but the new beta map is very visually appealing(some might call it a work of art). Kudos for Ecko/RNG
